  2. Grasses & Tall Grasses by Genkicoll

All of Genki's Ornamental Grasses and Tall Grasses, both separate and combined into a single ztd for your convenience.

    Ornamental Grasses:
A wide and colorful assortment of ornamental grasses
This pack includes lemongrass, several varieties of pampas grass and more.

    Tall Grasses:
All but one of these grasses was made by modifying graphics from Zoo Tycoon 2. They are all exhibit placeable and walkable so that your animals can "wade through fields of grass". Made in honor of Webmistress SavannahJan's birthday.

If you are using the combined ztd, you will not need to have the individual ztds in your zoo.

gcGrasses.ztd is the combined file for just the ornamental grasses.
gcTallGrasses.ztd is the combined file for just the tall grasses.
gcGrasses-n-TallGrasses.ztd is the combined file for all of the grasses.

UPDATED July 19, 2009 to include separate, as well as the combined ztd.

    Compatibility : All Game Versions

You can place the grass at the bottom of the tank, on the water terrain. Animals can walk through the grass. Because these are decorated foliage for the zoo, so don't effect the animals, and still appear if you click "hide foliage".

Although they have their own terrain type, you still can place them for free just the style you like. :)

  6. Vines Pack by Catfish

These vines are objects rather than fences, so you need to use them with another fence in order to form an exhibit. They look best placed directly against a fence or building. They are also directional and have a half-tile footprint, so if you can't place them exactly flush with the fence or building you would like, try rotating the vine section 180 degrees and try again. If it still does not work, you may be attempting to place it on another object, on water, or on a slope. The vines can not be placed on water, in tanks or on slopes. The vines are walkable, so they will not prevent guests, workers, or animals from moving through them. You can put them on the path and guests can walk right through, so that you can hide gates with them and zookeepers can still walk through it. Also, you can put them on both sides of a single-wide path without blocking guests. They have been made with a neutral habitat so that animals will not object to them being used in their exhibits.

Contains: Morning Glory Vine, Trumpet Vine, Wall Vine, Blackeyed Susan Vine, Clematis Vine and Hibiscus Vine.

  10. Dr Rick Galapagos Plants 1 by Dr. Rick

Dr Rick Galapagos Plants 1 by Dr. Rick

    Date Added : Mar 11, 2008
Updated : March 22, 2008 - Updated LCID error that can cause some people's games to crash

    Compatibility : All Game Versions

Dr Rick's plants for the Galapagos Islands. Inspired by And 1 and the Galapagos flora.Mangrove, arid and transition zone plants.

Four combined ztds, each containing a number of plants:

    Mangrove
3 Red Mangroves - nice prop roots
2 Black Mangroves - pneumatophores - breathing roots
1 White Mangrove and 1 Button Mangrove - prefer slightly drier positions

    Cacti
2 Giant Opuntias (Prickly Pears) from the arid zone of Islands with large herbivores like tortoise
1 Small Opuntia - non-prickly - from the arid zone of Islands with no large herbivores
3 Lava Cacti which live on the black, brown and grey lava
2 Candelabra cacti found with other arid zone plants

Arid Zone - this is the low altitude dry ragion immediately behaind the Mangrove swamps.
Lots of Palo Santos plants - two without grassy base, the rest with a grassy base in yellow (dry season), yellow-green (normal wet season) and green (el-nino years when there is far more rain), each with matching tall grass, thin grass and fern. Palo Santos are deciduous, so most are without leaves, but some have leaves, and some are losing their leaves after the monsoon.
There are also an assortment of other trees and shrubs characteristic of the arid zone.

Transition Zone - this has more rain and so there are evergreen trees and shrubs including two relatives of the Guava, the pega pega and the guayabillo. In addition there is a native juicy red tomato, incredibly salt-tolerant, but unfortunately poisonous!

    Enjoy!

  16. Decorative Marine Mania Foliage by Blue Fang and Fern

Blue Fang (graphics) and Fern (configuring)

Requires MM or CC as they link directly to the ingame images.

The MM animated foliage now goes on land, is water placeable and is still tankable. However this lot is decorative. So while it is exhibit placeable it does not go towards suitability.

While there is a hack out there that does this, one reason I did it this way is that I like using the ingame foliage "dead on land" and that is no longer available with the hack in. Also a lot of people do not like hacks.

These do NOT overwrite the ingame files.

    Also included a combined file.
    Enjoy

  22. Switchgrass by Vondell

Included in this .zip archive is a ZTD file that contains the Switchgrass by Vondell @ Zoo Tek Phoenix.

To use this foliage, place that ZTD file in your Program Files/Microsoft Games/Zoo Tycoon/dlupdates folder.

This ZTD file contains information for two complimentary versions of the Switchgrass.

Switchgrass (Habitat) is habitat foliage and will count toward an animal's exhibit suitability rating, Switchgrass (Decorative) will not.

Some user-made animals will "like" the Decorative version too, but it will not count toward the exhibit suitability rating, so it can be freely placed in those exhibits.

Hope you enjoy! :) - Vondell

  23. Pacific Aquatic Foliage by Dr Rick

Pacific Aquatic Foliage by Dr. Rick
Current ztd dates : August 4, 2013 for the Pacific Dulse and the 3 Sea Urchin and August 3, 2013 for the rest
    Compatibility : All Game Versions

Guests will enjoy these Pacific Aquatic Foliage. They are meant to go with North Pacific Aquatic animals like Tasmanian Tiger's Ribbon Seal. There are 10 types of foliage included. The Aggregating Anemone is a beautiful sea anemone, also called the clonal anemone. The rare Aleutian Kelp, Aureophycus aleuticus, was first described in 2008 and known only from Alaska and the Central Aleutian Islands. The Dragon Kelp, scientific name Eualaria fistulosa, are floating vertical leaves that form beautiful underwater forests off the coast of Alaska. The Feather Boa Kelp, scientific name Egregia menziesii, is a brown seaweed, typical of the algae in the group phaeophyta. The Flattened Acid Kelp, scientific name Desmarestia ligulata, is a brown seaweed typical of the simpler algae in the group phaeophyta. The Giant Green Anemone, scientific name Anthopleura xanthogrammica, is an animal with symbiotic green algae (both organisms benefit), so it likes strong light. The Green Sea Urchin, scientific name Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis, likes cold northern waters and varies in colour from yellow to green. The Pacific Dulse, scientific name Palmaria mollis, is a seaweed, a red lettuce-like member of the Rhodophyta (red algae) also called red ribbon. The Pale Sea Urchin, scientific name Strongylocentrotus pallidus, prefers deep water in real life. The Red Sea Urchin, scientific name Strongylocentrotus franciscanus, prefers sheltered water from 0 to 300 metres deep in real life. There are 3 versions inside each of the 10 ".ztd" files. One version is in the Aquatic area of the Foliage Purchase Menu. This type counts toward the foliage portion of suitability. When placed in a tank, it will show a living plant if the water is deep enough, otherwise it will show a nonliving plant. When placed on water terrain, it will show a living plant. Although it can also be put on land, this version is not meant to be put on land, since it will work differently on land, depending on the version of ZT, due to how MM and CC were made. Another version is decorative, which can be put in any exhibit and does not count toward suitability so that you can add as many as you like to an exhibit. A third version uses just the nonliving graphics, no matter where it is used: on land, on water terrain, or in a tank. This version can be put in any exhibit and does not count toward suitability. This version will work the same on land no matter which ZT version is used.

    From Dr Rick:
Taz's ribbon seal is very pretty and, as always, beautifully animated, especially when in tanks within its enclosure. To make a screenshot, I wondered what to use on the bottom of the tank and, rather than being sensible and consulting a suitability guide, I looked on the web. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that quite large areas of the northern pacific where these animals are found are occupied by several different, very colourful, sea urchin species, green, purple, red and pale (pallid), and other areas by an amazing mosaic of kelp forest and a whole range of different beautiful seaweeds. I imagined being able to make a shimmering, colourful mosaic of different organisms across the tanks, and ribbon seals swimming between the fronds of a mixed kelp forest. And that is what I made, and Taz's ribbon seals look even more fabulous than expected as they weave between the laminas (leaf-like fronds) of the kelps.
