Wraith Creature by Genkicoll
By Guest
A wraith is an apparition of a person, living or dead, that may appear shortly before or after death.
In European pagan beliefs, the wraith is seen as a spirit of vengeance. They are said to be ghostly figures with long, sharp fingers. Wraiths are considered rare amongst the spirit realm, for they consist of pure revenge; yet not all wraiths will be truly vengeful, in that some are merely enraged to the extent of destroying anything they encounter.
In other corners of the world, the wraith is considered to be the reflected image of a person, seen immediately before death. This side is supported by elders' stories.
A wraith is also described as an image seen immediately before one dies, as if it were a variation of the "Grim Reaper" figure.

Fire Horse by Genkicoll
By Guest
The Fire Horse lives on rocky plains near volcanoes. They love the heat and anything fiery, though they still need a source of water nearby.
These creatures like to live in herds, and are happy to share their living space with both Volcanic Unicorns and Pyro Zebras (by Sundance). Fire Horses will enjoy having volcanoes, tar pits, fires and torches in their exhibit.

Rainbow Unicorn by Genkicoll
By Guest
These Rainbow Unicorns have been raised in captivity, and are thus very comfortable with humans. They are not shy, and unlike many unicorns, are very social creatures.
The unicorn's name comes from two Latin words, and means "one horn." Rainbow Unicorns today are somewhat rare in the wild. Historically, unicorns have been found throughout the world, with sub-species existing in China, Tibet, Japan, India, Europe and the Middle East.
The unicorn's horn is both the source of its mystique and the reason this animal is scarce in the wild today. Even more than the horn of the rhinoceros, the unicorn's horn is valued by collectors for its alleged mystical powers and healing properties. Due to the long-standing belief that it can detect and neutralize poison, drinking vessels made from the unicorn's horn were greatly prized during the Middle Ages. The horn also came to symbolize medicine, as it was attributed with the power to cure a number of ailments, including stomach problems, scurvy, dropsy, epilepsy and even depression.
This animal is fully compatible with the in-game unicorn, but there are a few small differences that should make it more enjoyable to play with: They do not have to have a shelter, but will be perfectly happy to have one in the exhibit (ignore the message that says there are too many shelters in the exhibit, they still like them ). They will like exhibit-neutral items such as user-made foliage, and they have longer life-spans than the in-game unicorn.

Pern Dragons by Dragon Riders
By Guest
Inspired by the Dragonriders series by Anne McCaffrey, this download contains three ztd files: Gold Dragon (with Bronze male and brown young), Green Dragon (with Blue male and blue-green young) and Ruth, the White Dragon.
The Dragons of Pern
Starting with the planet's fire lizards, the Pernese Dragon was genetically engineered to be large enough to carry a person on its back. This was so that they could fly and burn "thread", spores from the erratic Red Star, from the skies before it reached the earth and destroyed everything it touched. These dragons form a lifelong telepathic bond with one person, thenceforth their rider, at the moment they hatch.
There are five colors of dragons on Pern. Gold queen, bronze male, brown male, green female and blue male.
Pern Gold (and Bronze and Brown) Dragon
The golden queen is the dominant ruler of the species. She only mates with the dragon that is clever or quick enough to catch her during the mating flight. Usually, only the bronze, largest of the males, meets these requirements. There was one case of a brown that might have been large and strong enough to last through the exhausting flight, but the queen tragically died before the flight could take place.
Pern Green (and Blue) Dragon
The Green females are normally unable to reproduce, as the chewing of firestone - needed in order to produce the flame they use to scorch thread - renders them infertile. Since the final passing of the Red Star, however, the greens that do not chew firestone have started producing small clutches. Greens are only able to produce the "lesser" green, blue and brown dragons - they cannot produce bronzes or golds.
Pern White Dragon, Ruth
In all of Pernese history, only one white dragon has ever been produced - Ruth, the White Dragon. Ruth is special in many ways, not the least of which is his unusual coloration. In the certain lighting, one can see that Ruth actually sparkles with all of the dragons' colors.
Ruth was hatched under unusual circumstances. All dragons are born by shattering their shells from the inside. In Ruth's case, however, his shell was tough and thick, and the little dragon was unable to break free on his own. Unable to stand watching the little egg and the fruitless struggles of it's inhabitant, a future Lord Holder jumped to the hatching grounds and beat the egg to crack the shell, then cut the sac inside to free the little dragon. Impression between the two was immediate. This was the first time that a Lord Holder had ever impressed, and a great blow to Jaxom's guardian, Lytol.
While Ruth is the most intelligent - and most unique - dragon Pern has ever known, he is also "stunted". Never having fully matured, Ruth is unable to reproduce.
Pernese Dragons are carnivorous, preferring nice fat wherries or herdbeasts, but will take any meat offered to them.

Padfoot by Ghirin

Padfoot
Author: Ghirin
Padfoot should never be approached because it is a dangerous creature.
Padfoot is a monster found in Yorkshire, England that inhabits the moors around Leeds. It is variously described as a shaggy sheep, white dog, or large black donkey with large glaring eyes. It makes its presence known by the soft, eerie padding behind its victim. The padding sound may be accompanied by roaring or the sound of chains.
Like other bogey creatures, Padfoot must never be struck at or approached or disaster will befall the attacker.

Wonderland Animals by Genkicoll
By Guest
Three Alice in Wonderland-themed animals for your fanciful zoos. All three are included separately, as well as combined. If you use the combined ztd, you will not need the separate ztds.
The White Rabbit
Down the rabbit hole you go to the magical Wonderland, the place the White Rabbit calls home. The White Rabbit is know to be a messenger and a herald at the Court of the King and Queen of Hearts. He seems to have a time management problem, or maybe he's just in need of a new watch. If you're lucky enough to run into the White Rabbit, he'll more then likely be running off in a hurry to one of his many engagements declaring, "No, no, no, no, no, no, no! I'm overdue! I'm really in a stew! No time to say goodbye...hello! I'm late! I'm late! I'm late!!"
Original rabbit graphics by African_Raptor. Thanks, AR!
Cheshire Cat
The Cheshire Cat lives in the fern-filled forests of Wonderland, a land where everyone, it purports, is mad. Its conversations are certainly maddening, raising philosophical points as often as it spouts nonsense. It constantly grins and can disappear and reappear whenever it feels like it, sometimes even disappearing and leaving its grin behind.
The Caterpillar
The Caterpillar, eccentric resident of Wonderland, tends to speak in short, rather rude sentences, or ask difficult questions. The Caterpillar tells Alice how to grow and shrink using the mushroom upon which he is sitting.
Original "desert worm" graphic by African Raptor. Thank you, AR!
The Cheshire Cat and the Caterpillar are fully compatible.

AOFE Dragon by Particle
By Particle
This is the dragon that was promised! :) This dragon came from the original AOFE mod (I guess). I found the stand, walk, attack, and death animations, and made this dragon with them. Unfortunately, there are no flying animations, because for some reason it was a ground unit.
This is my first animal so he will probably get updated. But for now it seems to work ok so try it out and let me know what you think.
Updated: I was lucky to have Jay's advice on my first animal. Thank you to Jay for your help. Jay is the master!

Grogoch by Jordan
By Guest
Grogochs are small hairy men who were thought to the aboriginal people of Ireland.
They were originally from Kintyre in Scotland and stories and sightings of them are well known in North Antrim and Rathlin Island (both places in Northern Ireland)
They are said to live in natural caves and clefts in the hillside but sometimes come down to help or hinder locals. There is no record of female grogochs but this might be because they are very similar in appearance to male. Grogochs are dirty creatures and usually have twigs and dirt tangled in their red brown hair.
Grogochs are quite sociable beings and will attach themselves to a particular being doing little household chores for them. Grogochs were said to be part fairy and so are scared of the Church, the only way to rid yourself of a pestering grogoch is to get a clergyman round to your house.
However the grogoch may return even without the person knowing since they have the power of invisibility.

Honey Island Swamp Monster by Ghirin
By Guest
Sightings of the Honey Island Swamp monster date back generations. Before the Europeans arrived, the local Amerindians called the creature Letiche, which they believed to be an abandoned child raised by alligators.
Recent sightings have described a large, two-legged creature with gray hair and yellow eyes. It is reported to have a horrible smell, like death itself and the Swamp Mosters has been blamed for many local area deaths of humans and animals.

Man-Eating Horse by Ghirin
By Guest
Four man-eatiing mares belonged to Diomedes, the king of a Thracian tribe called the Bistones. Diomedes would feed strangers to the mares as well as any locals that defied him.
The eighth labor of Hercules was to bring the mares back to his cousin, the King of Mycenae. There are two accounts of how he did this. In one, Hercules led a group of fighters to battle with the Bistones in order to get the mares. In another version, Hercules traveled to Thrace alone. He then captured Diomedes and fed him to his own mares. After feeding on their owner, the mares became tame enough for Hercules to handle and take them back to Mycenae.

Bull of Bagbury by Ghirin
By Guest
Many generations ago in Shropshire England, an evil squire was transformed into a large bull upon his death. The bull haunted the lanes of the area and caused much destruction with its loud roar.
The local people enlisted the help of the local parson to control the ghost bull. Reciting prayers and reading aloud from the Bible, the parson caused the bull to shrink in size until it could be confined to a box. The box was then buried under the doorstep of St. Etheldreda's Church to confine the ghost creature.

Mythic Salamander by Ghirin
By Guest
The salamander is a creature known in ancient times and was mentioned by Pliny the Elder is his book, Historia Naturalis (A.D. 77).
From the Aberdeen Bestiary:
“The salamander is so called because it is proof against fire. Of all poisonous creatures, it has the strongest poison. Other poisonous creatures kill one at a time; it can kill several things at the same time. For if it has crawled into a tree, it poisons all the apples and kills those who eat them. In addition, if it falls into a well, the strength of its poison kills those who drink the water. It resists fire and alone among creatures can put fires out. For it can exist in the midst of flames without pain and without being consumed by them, not only because it does not burn but because it puts the fire out.”

Dobhar Chu by Ghirin
By Guest
The Dobhar-chu, also known as the Water Dog, is a creature reputed to live in the lakes of Ireland. A similar creature known as the Master Otter also dwells in Scottish lakes.
Dobhar-chu hunt humans and livestock and are thus very dangerous. One of the best accounts of the Dobhar-chu comes from the region around Glencade Lake. A woman went down to the lake where she was attacked and killed by a Dobhar-chu. Her husband killed the Dobhar-chu but was chased by another, which he also killed.
