About This File
This workbench's theme came from a conversation I had with Savannahjan about a year or so ago. I'm sure she forgot about it, or if she remembered, she thought I had forgotten...but I didn't! She has been a mentor, critic, and a true friend. I hope she and her spirit will be with Tek for a long time!!!
As I do often in doing the planning of a workbench, I check out the area and it's history. I wasn't surprised to find that Savannahjan comes from a long line of women, who made a dent in the history of the West. She has a great-great-great-great Grandmother, who in her day was a means to be dealt with. She was the first strong-willed women to be made Sheriff, by a landslide. Another of her grandmothers owned one of the largest ranches in the area, raising horses, cattle, and sheep. No one ever tried any rustling, at her expense, they knew they would never get far. It's fascinating to see another strong women from this family as a leader, our own Savannahjan.
The workbench consists of of three areas: the first, a desert prairie...the second, a mountain area...and the last, a grassy prairie.
Each area is connected by a train and track which runs through all three areas.
Only scenery items were used.
The workbench opens at Jan 1 of Year 1.
