About This File

A set of autumn items inspired by some fall and halloween traditions from the rural midwest United States. 

 

Create custom corn mazes for your guests with new animated corn stalk foliage tiles, decorate your halloween areas with hay bales, hay wagons, and a pumpkin row decorative fence, and even offer your guests the opportunity to purchase some fall flowers at a flower-selling stand to take home.

 

Also included is a special mystery item, which you may find at the end of your scenery menu.

 

This pack requires additional language files to work correctly, which should be placed in your Zoo Tycoon main folder:

  • The Row of Pumpkins decorative fence uses language strings from the LANG-ZTCDD.dll, available here.
  • The Fall Mum Flower Wagon uses language strings from the Zookeeper's Lounge Combined dll file, available here or here.

 

Note: The Flower Wagon sells an item that reuses language strings from the ZKL dll, but uses a new graphic for the item. Because of this, if you happen to have another user-made building in your zoo that sells an item that uses the same name ID ("Flowers"), a guest using that building may receive the item graphic from this building in their inventory, or vice-versa. This is a compromise related to creating new sold items in this way; this is the only side-effect in gameplay.

Hello, many thanks for this nice items.

 

"Also included is a special mystery item, which you may find at the end of your scenery menu."  What does it means "end of menu"? I found nothing  :-(

 

Btw a little question: Can I sort the objects in Zoo Tycoon? I’m constantly scrolling to find things.

This download page contains two .ztds, one called "VondellsFarmSet2026.ztd" and the other called "Vondells2026HalloweenBonusItem.ztd" -- the "mystery item" is in the second ztd, so make sure you have both in your folder. When you do, it should appear at (or near) the end of your Scenery menu, as it costs $5000.

 

Let me know if it still does not appear. When you see it, you should know.

 

As to your question about object sorting: Unfortunately, keeping track of different downloads in the menu is one of ZT1's shortcomings. Jay at the Zoo Tycoon Community Download Directory has outlined a method for creating custom item categories and manually adding items to them, and ZTCDD offers a mod that adds several new default categories, but it is somewhat on the advanced side of ZT1 modding. You can read about that and download it here. Making new categories to sort your own items into involves editing the configuration files of your mods, which is not for everyone. If you wanted to pursue it but would like more guidance, I'm sure there are folks here who could cover it in more detail if you make a thread about it on the forums.

 

Personally, I have not used this system, so I have limited knowledge of it. 

One thing I absolutely recommend though if you don't already have it is Particle's expanded menu mod. Seeing many more icons at once is very helpful for not constantly scrolling up and down through many items.
