  1. I'm not sure at all... I was just wondering if I could make the loong urn an item that could turn into loong when placed in a tank. I already told in Discord that I'm thinking about crafting also qilin and fenghuang for a mythical chinese mini pack. Qilin shapeshifing into a chinese gargoyle seems pretty neat! If bakeneko is an idea, I think that a cat (or any shapeshifting animal) can have two sets of animations and configure behaviors that might change between... iirc, some animals like tiger or lion, have more moving animations in addition to walk an run, like troting, hunting and running while roaring... Like bHappy1,50,bHappy2,50 in behavior probability string and in animation strings, each loads different animations... Lotsa huge animation work, but seems possible to me

  2. Lynxes use sounds of Borsato´s Spanish lynx. Some kitties only make sounds as young, because I had problems finding good sounds for them (and they don´t sound like normal domestic kitties), so I gave up and made them without sounds. I have even less time than I anticipated, so here are just some prairie good boys. Meant as a small active animals to compliment exhibits of other ones. Except of white-tailed prairie dog - I planned to make it compatible with Gunnison sage grouse, but I wasn´t able to use the model, for some reason it cannot be rotated. And Mexican prairie dog is compatible with my burrowing owl, which I think I haven´t released yet. Animals: Black-tailed prairie dog, Gunnison´s prairie dog, Mexican prairie dog, Utah prairie dog, White-tailed prairie dog Compatibility: Black-tailed prairie dog - ingame American bison, and all animals compatible with it Gunnison´s prairie dog - my Bolson tortoise, Shasta ground sloth and many (mostly unreleased) animals compatible with them Utah prairie dog - my Mustang Enjoy! *** files removed 2025.12.25 screenshot of files removed:

  3. I think I've done it once, for a combination of an umbrella on top of a picnic table. Successfully. I cheated a bit, as for the graphics I started out with one of the in-game umbrellas. The key was making sure you only had a specific number of colors (or at least not exceed it, it was something like probably 8 or 16 "colors" - e.g. shades of red) that you had to put in the .pal file at specific places, all below each other. To make it easier - you could probably start with a very eccentric color for the roof; take care of what I wrote in the previous block; and then Zoo Tycoon will fill it with its own palette. (I think I added some feature at some point in ZT Studio to load the custom palettes that are in the game with all the different shades that the end user can ultimately select, as they seemed shared between all the objects. I could be wrong, memory is a bit hazy after 6 years :') ). Edit: Pic => I notice how in the comment I also made the remark that you should use the same .PAL file for all views. Technically speaking, I think you could probably ignore that; but then you'll need to have the colors in the right place in each .PAL file. This comment contains more info from back in the days. I know you were interested in forking ZT Studio - feel free to go ahead. I also added a GitHub "issue" that describes some AI suggested improvements to speed things up. I was just messing around in VB.Net back in the days, discovering and analyzing the ZT1 graphics bit by bit and I wasn't that experienced back in the days when I wrote the code.
