  1. Will post preview releases for the backstage pack as I finish configuration. If anyone is willing to test, it would be much appreciated! At this point I'm willing to make any changes to the configuration, but graphics are final. The final pack will be under one mod page at Zooberry. Here is the golf cart preview release: [Download previewV1_GS_Golfcart.ztd] The rotations here were a bit weird because of the sprite size so happy to hear anyone's thoughts!

  2. I'm not so sure I'll have time to make something for Halloween this year. @Gibbon published a video today showcasing the collab Halloween pack from last year with Serpy and Buffzoo: Check it out if you haven't! Download it here: https://www.zooberry.org/mods/zt1/expansive-packs/halloween-collab-pack-2024/

  4. We thought it would be fun to make a sort of utility/sustainability pack with solar panels and windmills. All or most of our items will generate passive income when placed. There's no set scope for the pack, but below are the graphics we have finished so far. Names not final for most. (Solar panels) (Medium wind turbine) (Small wind turbine) (Dutch windmill) Credits: - Vondell: solar panels, medium wind turbine, small turbine - Goosifer: dutch windmill Tools: - Blender

  7. It's been a while since I've updated. I'm still tweaking some of the same projects but just not moving so quickly. The low brown and red rock wall fences were going well and I was pretty happy with them. Here they are with an Indian elephant and a mixed species herd of giraffe and another animal across the way. The fences seemed to be complete just a few days ago and I was hoping to release them, but in the process of editing the icons they seem to have totally broken. I'm still trying to bugfix. I'm not good at this part but I'm trying to get better. There's another surprise in the last image... a Greater Kudu. I made it in one afternoon and it's just waiting on an icon and possibly recoloring the female a little bit more. It's compatible with the ingame Plains Zebra, as I've seen them mixed together at the Indianapolis Zoo and Milwaukee County Zoo. I know there are other versions out there but most of the ones I know are through other design methods (custom animations and models) due to the distinctive horn shape, but I figured to try a Bongo recolor for old time's sake.

  8. It’s much slower ingame. The gif above is a raw export from Blender frames, about 30 frames, which move quickly in the default Krita settings I used. It might still be slightly faster than we’d like ingame, but only because if I dial it down too much it would almost look stop motion. I’ll see about increasing the frame count to improve the speed even more.

  9. I was genuinely interested to see what your thoughts would be. So glad you liked it! Thanks Jan! We've been having a lot of fun. It started as just solar panels and windmills but it turns out there's no end to similar structures that generate energy or passive income.

  11. We all know the staff just wander around the park aimlessly for their breaks, so no rest area required. Still, it was a fair concept.

  12. Wow, a whole year without playing. A lot occurred between the last time I posted and now. Some good, much of it bad, and very private. There is a lot I do not think I will share publicly for reasons related to PTSD, but the important thing is I am here now and ready to share my love of Zoo Tycoon with everyone again. I built the entrance around the idea of fresh garden greenery, staff services and a bustling market. Many of you will recognize rdingft's AOE pieces right off the bat, and I personally don't think they get the credit they deserve for how beautiful these scenery pieces are. They are non-functional but help to create the illusion that the zoo market is more active than it really is. To the left of the Staff and Service building, we can see a farm where much of the produce is grown. I had great fun with this section in particular. I wanted it to look as though the land were being diligently tended to and I think I achieved that. Moving on to animals, I want to first zoom in on @Serpyderpy's Sinoceratops. One of the reasons I always sink my dinosaur exhibits into the ground is because I'm paranoid of them bursting out once the fences get weak. It gives me peace of mind and helps me focus on decorating. (As a side note, I need to download some neutral-marked rock mods...) The sinoceratops are very laid-back and easy to take care of. I had virtually no issue providing them with what they needed. The babies are adorable and the adults are intimidating and magnificent. I'm excited to see more from them. I'd highly recommend them to anyone who doesn't want a fussy species to look after. If you're easily overwhelmed, they won't give you any trouble. As these are herd dinosaurs, make sure you give them plenty of space. They like company. When I learned that this was a Chinese-discovered species, I knew I had to put a rdingft scenery building in their exhibit. This building is called the "Temple of Heaven" and is probably my favorite of his mods as far as reconstructed temples go. I think the screenshot speaks for itself. It is to die for. Total # of Sinoceratops: 4 (3 adults, 1 extra adopted baby. No births yet.) Moving on, I want to showcase my favorite animal mod right now: @Buffzoo's Dinocrocuta. Hyenas are among my most favorite living animals, and I was ecstatic to discover that they made an extinct hyena - and a giant one, no doubt. Their exhibit, like the Sinoceratops above, was a labor of love. I cherished making this. I especially want to zoom in on the dead gazelle statue, which I believe came from an AOE2 statue pack. The reason for this statue's placement is that I wanted to create a more realistic setting for my carnivorous animals, which I have neglected in the past. Perhaps this "animal" was a fresh kill, a demonstration from the keepers to show interested zoo guests how the animal hunts and feeds. I hid the "carcass" in tall grass, to simulate how many extant predatory species will hide their kills to prevent other predators in the area from stealing. (Some grass was deleted for better viewing) I love these hyenas, and I'm very proud of this exhibit. There is more, but I MUST go to bed. It is after 1 in the morning and I can't stay up any longer. For any interested, these hyenas were extremely easy to take care of. They gave me no issues whatsoever. Great animal for beginner players who want well-behaved, laid-back animals. Total # of Dinocrocuta: 4 (2 adults, 1 adopted cub with the 'allow purchasing young hack.' 1 given birth naturally. Slow birth rate..) That is all for now. Enjoy!

  13. animal transport vehicle. made a replica animal crate from the game for the truck bed. i used a 1950 chevy 3100 as a reference for the truck itself. just the zookeeper rest area and tranquilizer station remaining.

  14. Not done yet but here's some progress on the excavator Frustratingly-low contrast so that's one thing I need to figure out. It's only four views so I might just tweak it post-render.
