Tek Anniv DLs Tropical color

fountain

Recommended Posts

I used the "nine zones" workbench minus all the contest dls. I gave myself $750K to start and no hacks. I did no snow and no highland zones. My goals were not to run out of money and to play with the 11th anniversary dls and to use my choice of animals and buildings.

BTW most of the work done was accompanied by Jean Shepherd's storytelling and modern life thoughts as preserved at flicklives.com.

--And with my right big toe on ice after OTJ injury of 1-3 out of 6 --foolishly rubber banded together--but not by me--with a thin rubber band-- hospital-sized (19oz each) spray cans of disinfectant falling (from a height of nearly 5ft) onto the top of my right foot, bruising my big toe tendon 2 different places plus "crinkling" a very thin bone structure at the tip of that toe. ...So I was required to sit a lot over the weekend.+

To the zoo now:

I started with the entrance and built a stage area

...very pretty but not a money maker.

So I started over and put in money-making buildings and popular animals and, less popular Galapagos reptiles, normal amounts for select research. New entrance area here with the anniversary dls.

After a while with many, many thirsty guests and I was tired of the bears complaining they could not find food when it was available around the corner I replaced the animal show with savannah opaki and an earlier anniversary treat.

That looks great! I love your zoo, fountain. Now, where did you get that cute tent thingie in the first screen? That is just so cute!

So sorry about your toe; you must stay put and play ZT continually.

Bears don't seem to know much in the game even when they don't have to go around the corner to eat.

Thanks!

Gosh, I've used this pack many times, I love the colors, but somehow I missed that tent. I'm so glad you posted your pics! It's so much fun to discover something new that you've missed all along.

Toodlepops, Hula Honeys, and our Tek-a-versry people have done wonderful themes and colors that work so well together.

White and Bengal Tigers enjoy each others company. The SE Asia observation canopies fit nicely with the starfish paths.

Several of the Hawaiian foliage packs together with the Le' ale' Hut and the beach restaurant with its French-theme signs creating exotic combinations. Tanks of Amazon river dolphins, Spinner dolphins, Black-tipped Reef shark surround the human food area.

Red-foot Booby and Blue-foot Booby (bottom left & right) and Galapagos Sharks (upper left) and Manta Ray (upper rightish). Shortly after this screenshot guests swarmed the area donating $$ to the boobies.

Stats for the zoo May year 18 of the Nine Zones workbench:

Admission: $49.25 (to avoid overcrowding)

Animals: 207

Exhibits: 35

Attractions: 12

Guests: 734 (at $49.00 there were 818)

Staff: 28 (16 zookeepers, 6 marine, 6 maintenance) I trapped 5 of the marine specialists to attend to 2-3 tanks each and the 6th has walk around to reach his tanks.

Benefactors: 44

Value of zoo: $1,192,169.00 (I never have gone below $190K in cash.)

Zoo rating: 95 (highest 97? before the interior walls of the tiger exhibits gave out, so I combined them)

Animal happiness: 98

Guest happiness: 94 (still recovering from the tiger thing)

Tigers never actually got out because the interior walls only led to the rhino and I caught quickly. I did accidentally put an opaki in the tiger exhibit and they got unplanned stimulation.

The tips Tekkies offered about raising food prices and attractions by $1-$3.00 really helped plus I waited until hunger, etc. was significant before adding more places to eat. I followed by filling the nearby areas with popular and less popular animals. Having the tanks in the middle also kept interest alive. Making the guests walk more "circuits" encouraged visiting more animals, donations, and increasing need for reenergizing. I clustered the buildings putting free and paying attractions near the food in hopes of guest visiting (and spending) after they have rested a bit.

Definitely a success with awards and money and no going broke this time!! Thanks for the help!!!

That happens to me all the time only I go "Duh! How could I forget that one?!"

I really focused on trying to use familiar items in different ways with this zoo.
