Truly_happy Posted October 19, 2023 Author Posted October 19, 2023 Any ideas why I'm not getting pictures to show up? Neither the background nor the sprite that exists on the actual map will display. This only happened after fixing the positions in Zoot. Before that, the images worked fine.
(Admin)Cricket Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 I have a few thoughts as to why. If you send me your file, I'll take a look.
Truly_happy Posted October 19, 2023 Author Posted October 19, 2023 Thanks, Cricket! cross_truly-happy.ztd 1
(Admin)Cricket Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 This should look better: cross_truly-happy_new.ztd The upper-left-hand corner of your icon image is what determines whether or not your image is shown based on the color. I changed that one pixel to the magenta that a lot of us use. Here's that pixel: magenta_pixel_for_icons.zip There are a few more pixels within your icon background that are showing up white/clear where I would imagine they're supposed to be color. If you want to fix that, you'll need your original background, of course :D Just a few notes: There's one line in your .ucs that you may want to remove: cUsesTreeRubble = 1 This line basically allows dinos to reduce your cross to rubble if they get near it lol. Remove the blank [ ] sections at the beginning of your .ucs file. Remove the extra .pal files in the /objects/e8edb047 folder. Everything else looks good! Love the size of this cross!! It looks amazing in-game!! 1 1
Truly_happy Posted October 22, 2023 Author Posted October 22, 2023 It's working beautifully. Thank you, Cricket!

Truly_happy Posted August 28, 2024 Author Posted August 28, 2024 Here is a preview of a project I am working on: Just a little statue using the adult male guest sprite. The pedestal is not isometric because I goofed up when making it. It needs to be redone. :'( This is proof of concept anyway. I like the way it looks. Cracked marble, yay! Now it just needs ivy for a real spook factor ... because you know Halloween is coming early this year! 2
Truly_happy Posted August 29, 2024 Author Posted August 29, 2024 How's this? I tried adding leaves to the vine, but it didn't look good no matter what I did. By the way, this is not 3D-rendered anything. This is pixel are.
Truly_happy Posted July 22, 2025 Author Posted July 22, 2025 Not a future/possible object, but a thought for a zoo: Maybe a zoo for places I've been to on mission and places I've been called to visit yet? Been to: Washington DC (Eastern United States) Guatemala (Central America) To visit: Hawaiian Islands (Polynesia) Japan (Could expand to Eastern Asia if not enough animals can be found for these islands alone, but I'm assuming its not impossible ...) Well, that's simple enough, really. Four zoo sections, four cultures to represent, four groups of animals to look for. I'd settle for four animals for each place, so only 16 exhibits. (I believe four Japanese animals are findable.) As a mission zoo, I could put my cross decoration in it, maybe at the center of the whole zoo or at the center of each section, or both. (Jesus at the center of it all!!!) As a bonus to me, I can endeavor to learn each animal's native/regional name. (Certainly, I'll need to learn the Japanese words for animals ... in Japanese script.) I'll start with DC. Pretty close to my native culture in Illinois ... urban ... and US flags EVERYWHERE. (Because that is what DC looks like, ha! XD)
Truly_happy Posted July 22, 2025 Author Posted July 22, 2025 I have my critters native to DC downloaded, but I am surprised how many iconic North American animals are not on Tek. No opossum, eastern grey squirrel, or beaver? Good job I decided to just feature four animals per location, then. In the end, I made-off with the white-tailed deer, a coyote and a couple of skunks to try. The American black bear ships with the game, thankfully. ;) I hope each place has an in-game animal I can use. ... You know ... with Hawaii, I could put the sea turtle (I already know the native word is "honu") in there. There is a Japanese undulate in the game, I know. As for Guatemala, I could use Puma concolor, as they are all over the Americas. Yes. Now I only have nine animals to find.
