Yellowrose Posted March 28, 2019 Author Posted March 28, 2019 Bridge Building with Harry Potter Scenery. 1. raise your terrain with the mountain tool up twice 2. Lower the sloped sides back to flat terrain so you have just a 2 wide raised platform and place your path.
Yellowrose Posted March 28, 2019 Author Posted March 28, 2019 Next choose your scenery bridge piece. I have used the Mountain Bridge pieces for this. Place a bridge piece on one side making sure it fits against the top flat area of the cliff you made. don't worry about the slope showing we'll fix that in a bit. Spin your map and place another bridge piece against the cliff on the other side. this forms a walkable bridge guests will use.
Yellowrose Posted March 28, 2019 Author Posted March 28, 2019 Use the smaller Rock scenery pieces to cover in the small slope areas left bare Add your water terrain and decorate away and have fun. All the rock pieces can fit together like puzzle pieces to make mountains around an island or to edge your zoo. these rock and mountain pieces are only 1 tile thick with the smaller rocks being 1 tile and the large ones being 1x2 or 1x3 tiles. In the top screen I used 3 large mountain pieces and a few of the small ones to make a small mountain between the stands of trees so you could see what is possible with the scenery rocks. they are all water and land placeable as are the bridge pieces. 1 2
(Designer)VeganCannibalism Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 Wow, wow, and wow! Using scenery to make raised terrain function as a bridge is brilliant!
Yellowrose Posted March 28, 2019 Author Posted March 28, 2019 I've done it this way for years, back when I released the Wizard of OZ expansion(2006 or 2007) I had included a bridge that couldn't be used by guests because there was no way to make it walkable where they would use the stairs. the solution to that issue was what I did above for the Harry Potter Scenery Bridge. you can have a bridge any width you like doing it this way single path width right up to and 8 tile width midway style path. 1
