Iceberg Sanctuary

It is already december.

It starts to get colder outside (at least where i live). So i decided to make an all-polar animals sanctuary.

I would like to present to you:  ICEBERG SANCTUARY

The sanctuary houses 6 different species in need for help.

Lets get a look at the visitors map:

As you can see, the sanctuary is constructed around on main polar expedition centre on the left side of the park.

Another smaller centre can be found on the right side of the park, where helicopters depart on their journey to find animals in danger.

Lets enter the park!

First you will enter a small polar town. These are the houses of the Iceberg Sanctuary crew.

Some of these houses are open for the visitors, allowing them to buy snacks, souvenirs or go to the bathroom.

When leaving the town at the left side, the guests will enter the main exploration building.

This building allows the visitors to look into the caribou, arctic wolves, ribbon- and harp seals exhibits.

Here you can see the town centre on the right side. Here is also the recycling centre of the park.

At the right side of the sanctuary there is a slightly smaller building. Here the helicopters fly out, guest can have a look into the penguin- and polar bear enclosure.

Here our visit into Iceberg Sanctuary ends. It is a small park with large enclosures.

Here the animals can rest and prepare themselves for their release into the wild.

Wonderfully creative.  The buildings are great and your habitats are natural looking.

You have such a great building style!

Thanks! Only yesterday I saw a documentary on the first polar expeditions. Incredible.... The story of Amundsen and Scott and the brave Lawrence Oates.

The poles are such unique places...

I really like the glass covered walkways-very clever, and it's the only way you would get me to visit someplace that cold!  And the zoo overview shot is really cool.

Where do the white houses with the brown roofs come from?  Wait, I found them!

It is a very interesting zoo on that map.   I've never really liked that map but I can see that I didn't know how to use it to create a unique zoo.

Are those Vondell's concrete wall pieces? I love building with them! I recognize RDFT's brick wall settings, too!
