AnewZoocreator Posted June 12, 2020 Author Posted June 12, 2020 The situation seconds after the violent restart - the fourth one in this save, in March 32: Several minutes later - many areas have already calmed down, but especially Paraceratherium and Andrewsarchus (but to an extent also Rinchenia) have proven fast and have nearly crossed the whole zoo. Andrewsarchus and Rinchenia have already attacked guests, and as far as I could see, several animals (moose?) have been eaten. 1
AnewZoocreator Posted June 12, 2020 Author Posted June 12, 2020 All animals have been hedged in, no guests are left in the zoo. And by now, at least three staff have not survived against Rinchenia. 1
AnewZoocreator Posted June 12, 2020 Author Posted June 12, 2020 All animals were sold, now, the map consists only of the - many different - types of terrain: 1
AnewZoocreator Posted June 14, 2020 Author Posted June 14, 2020 A friend was there today, the friend who helped me rediscover Zoo Tycoon. And we played somewhat cooperatively, with both of us getting to decide on animals. Of course, first it was the Return of The Ligabueino! Because the friend, unlike me, is a fan of FC Bayern Munich, he called the fence a "FC Bayern fence": The next animal was his one, and he chose a sabretooth, namely Machairodus giganteus: I then built the long, long "bridge ride"(?) in one of the Contest packs, and used the small area below the FC Bayern fence and west of the ride for a small hummingbird and a somewhat bigger Scarlet Macaw exhibit: And then, I downloaded a few more files from this site and "built" Bissektipelta, Chialingasaurus and Dacentrurus, resulting in a great deciduous/coniferous area: My friend, meanwhile, loved Ice Age as a child and thus chose the in-game wooly mammoth: but he also chose Fallow and European Red Deer: The visitor areas are exclusively from me, mainly this area with the rollercoaster ride included in one of the Contest files: 5
AnewZoocreator Posted June 16, 2020 Author Posted June 16, 2020 A new exhibit for a new animal, Massospondylus: 1
AnewZoocreator Posted June 16, 2020 Author Posted June 16, 2020 Here is what I built today: Massospondylus (see above) then the Indian Golden Unicorn - lovely, and an easy exhibit to build: Pern Dragons (for now blue and green) - a politically impossible coalition in Germany: Then an exhibit for diverse prehistoric horses/horse relatives (Pliohippus, Orohippus, Hipparion et al.): And last, but not least, I swapped constantly unhappy Bissektipelta for Struthiosaurus - and indeed, they are easier to make happy and content: 1
AnewZoocreator Posted June 17, 2020 Author Posted June 17, 2020 In just over an hour, I expanded my zoo: Argentinosaurus, one of the largest dinosaurs of all time (and definitely the largest I have seen as a mod - I haven't seen any attempt at Bruhathkayosaurus or Maraapunisaurus/Amphicoelias for example): Silvisaurus: And the Nyala, plus another visitor's corner: 1
AnewZoocreator Posted June 21, 2020 Author Posted June 21, 2020 Today, I continued with - not necessarily in that order... Paralititan: Afrovenator: For fans of extant animals, a cheetah exhibit: Quaesitosaurus: Diceratus (top) and Nigersaurus - I had tried Tarbosaurus (they destroyed everything) and Dakotahraptor (okay, but they all died of old age etc.) before: And the Triple Red Exhibit: Yimenosaurus, Triceratops and Zephyrosaurus: Triceratops and Zephyrosaurus: An Aquatic Red Dragon (naturally in a red fence): And, after all the Dacentrurus had died, I had to only slightly adjust the area for Blikanasaurus: 1
AnewZoocreator Posted June 28, 2020 Author Posted June 28, 2020 I found a hack which makes staff just able to swim, without making them work for free or anything. And this is very useful: And in the last days, I added some more to the zoo and rebuilt parts - when I thought it was appropriate, I also moved some restaurants etc., so don't wonder if they sometimes are different: Einiosaurus and the clouded leopard (Neofelis nebulosa): And today, I sold the ever-unhappy Diceratus and the whole exhibit is now devoted to Nigersaurus: I also built Elasmotherium and Kotasaurus: And last, but not least, in (or near) the centre, a small Rock Hyrax (Procavia capensis) exhibit: 1
