MarkBL20 Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Ok, so here's the taxonomy of the giraffe subspecies: Northern Giraffe clade (Giraffa camelopardalis): Kordofan Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis antiquorum) Nubian Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis camelopardalis) Rothschild's Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis rothschildi) West African Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis peralta) Reticulated Giraffe calde (Giraffa reticulata): Reticulated Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis reticulata) Southern Giraffe clade (Giraffa giraffa): Angolan Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis angolensis) South African Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis giraffa) Masai Giraffe clade (Giraffa tippelskirchi): Masai Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis tippelskirchi) Thornicroft's Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis thornicrofti) 1 1
Ashea Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 Just taking a guess here, but the image of the West African looks closer to the in-game animal. Going by the lighter color and pattern. Sadly they were pretty generic with the animals they provided.

Going by the lighter color and pattern. Sadly they were pretty generic with the animals they provided. I thought that too, but I think spots are too big for a West African (or Kordofan). And light individuals are known from other subspecies too. Space between spots in West African giraffes is white, while ZT giraffe have some colour inbetween spots as well. I also thought it was Angolan or South African, these two subspecies have large spots and can also get quite pale. Thanks all for you opinions! About giraffe generally, I settled (for now...) that ingame giraffe is a Nubian one - it´s type subspecies, have large spots, can be pale (especially females), and space between spots isn´t white. This means that in the new ungulates pack (the biggest of them all) will be 5 new giraffes. Today´s release, ceratopsids (+one ornithopod as a bonus): Animals: From left to right: Kosmoceratops (grey), Regaliceratops (red), Parksosaurus (small ornithopod), Nasutoceratops (brown), Diabloceratops (black), Pachyrhinosaurus (white) So the only large ceratopsid missing from ZT2 mods is Coahuilaceratops, because I couldn´t figure out any compatibility for it. Compatibility: Kosmoceratops, Diabloceratops Regaliceratops - ingame Styracosaurus, Hendrix´s Pachycephalosaurus Parksosaurus - Borsato´s Torosaurus Nasutoceratops - ingame Lambeosaurus, Borsato´s Parasaurolophus, my Pentaceratops and Panoplosaurus On my google drive, in folder packs, you can now find file named hwdinosaurdigscretaceous.rar, inside which you can find .ztd with all my Cretaceous dinosaurs combined. Enjoy! EDIT: I can´t log into my google account, so nothing has been uploaded on my google drive yet. According to internet I am gonna wait for 7 days before logging into it again... *** files removed 2023.07.06 4 1
LapisLazuli77 Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 Oh wow, these look pretty good. Also, if you can't work out compatibility there's always just making Coahuilaceratops a standalone...but it's fine.

But if you can came up with something, I´ll make it for you.
LapisLazuli77 Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 Hmmm...Well, there's really not much at all about the Cerro del Pueblo Formation, but from the looks of things it seems to be some sorta coastal scrub plain environment. Probably a mix of desert and forest elements, with compatibility for aquatic foliage, and for terrain uhhhhh I can imagine lots of sand and dirt, prolly some brown stone and the three forest floors, and capped off with both fresh and saltwater to represent the coastal location. "Primary" biome is either of those two aforementioned habitats, desert or forest.

Need to find some time to go back thru your thread - I am seeing some possibilities for an area-specific Pleistocene setting that has been rolling around in my head for some time. 1

Hawkkeye666 Posted June 24, 2023 Author Posted June 24, 2023 I am back on my google drive - I uploaded there ceratopsians as a single .ztd files, and also hwdinosaurdigscretaceous.rar (find it in pack folder) with all my Cretaceous dinosaurs combined into one .ztd. 1
