Hawkkeye666 Posted November 1, 2024 Author Posted November 1, 2024 Which Eurasian lynx subspecies would you like to see in upcoming rework of my kitties pack? For now, Siberian, Turkestan and Carpathian subspecies are made. Would you like Balkan, Caucasian and/or northern lynx? Or are above mentioned subspecies enough?
pukkie Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 I think with the 3 you be just fine To be honest if I build a zoo and I would put a Lynx in the chances of another Lynx species is slim as I like to have a variety o species That said in large zoos subspecies are a nice option to create specialised conservation area's for species and then subspecies are desired of course I would love to see the Balkan, most of all As I already have a northern Lynx I personaly have no need for that

Can you give me some ideas about environment for them (terrain, favourite plant, etc.)? For now, Siberian lynx is compatible with my Ussuri brown bear (coniferous), Turkestan lynx with ingame snow leopard (highland), and Carpathian lynx has new highland environment with a quite a bit of decidious and coniferous terrain, some grass and fresh water, with a lot of mostly coniferous and decidious foliage, if you want come up with some different ideas for a Balkan lynx.
pukkie Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 Well 2/3 of Balan arera is highland so it has to go in the Hightland area European Region The highest peaks support alpine tundra vegetation. ( so little bit of snow needed in the exhibit maybe like with the Markhor?) Foliage European Beech , Pinus peuce and Quercus frainetto I dont have the english names for them pnly Dutch and Latin a All ingame and UCI pine will work as well Flowers common Lilac ,Serbian phoenix flower, Salvia and Balkan Spurge
bongo1 Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 Hungarian or Balkan Pine (Pinus peuce) and Hungarian Oak (Quercus frainetto)
VNDragonV2 Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Look at me, complimenting you on Chunkingosaurus and Gigantspinosaurus at the early days of this thread only to use them for the first time at the end 2024. Honestly, they are everything I ever wish for. I'm not willing to spend more than a day back in Zoo Tycoon given other things in life, but I ran a couple tests with big mixed exhibits. Mostly dinosaurs and fishes for now - I will get to the terrestrial mammals/birds at another time. Really appreciate how you took notes to make some animals compatible with Borsato's works too. The Nodosaurus looks surprisingly familiar? Was it the JWE model that was based on Borealopelta? https://imgur.com/0Ss4Hww https://imgur.com/0Ss4Hww I am excited the most about the Nemegt and Dinosaur Park assemblages since I have personal ties with them. Nemegt is still sorely missing a sauropod, but I can probably adjust the habitat preferences in the future to slot in Deinocheirus, Homalocephale, and the base Gallimimus for the full assemblage. It is interesting how the Dinosaur Park Formation (DPF) assemblage is split into a deciduous-dominated and a coniferous-dominated group. I would have preferred a lower DPF vs upper DPF myself, but alas.
YoungerPrinceLothric Posted January 5 Posted January 5 I want to apologize for not posting screenshots and testing your mods for such a long time. A lot of changes happened in my personal life that made it very hard to put time aside for ZT. I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things this year.
