From Jay: I ran the checkers for the June 10, 2022 version of "red-flanked duiker.ZTD". It shows the following:

red-flanked duiker.ZTD

***** Error: animals/rduiker/icmrduiker/N.pal is not in ztd.
***** Error: animals/rduiker/lsmrduiker/N.pal is not in ztd.
***** Error: animals/rduiker/plrduiker/N.pal is not in ztd.
* Efficiency: animals/rduiker/icmrdu/n.pal not used, so not needed.
* Efficiency: animals/rduiker/lsmrdu/n.pal not used, so not needed.
* Efficiency: animals/rduiker/plrdu/n.pal not used, so not needed.

Results From Configuration Checking (2022-10-29 checker version):

rduiker.uca date: Fri Oct 08 23:04:32 2021
*** Warning: No fPlay... type of line before fPlayTime line.
*** Warning: No fPlay... type of line or fDie line after fPlayTime line.
* Efficiency: iCharacteristics/Integers] sections are unused + can be removed.

Those 3 Errors can cause ZT to crash. animals/rduiker/icmrdu/n is trying to use animals/rduiker/icmrduiker/N.pal instead of animals/rduiker/icmrdu/n.pal. animals/rduiker/lsmrdu/n is trying to use animals/rduiker/lsmrduiker/N.pal instead of animals/rduiker/lsmrdu/n.pal. animals/rduiker/plrdu/n is trying to use animals/rduiker/plrduiker/N.pal instead of animals/rduiker/plrdu/n.pal. The March 3, 2021 version used folders icmrduiker, lsmrduiker, and plrduiker. Apparently those were renamed to icmrdu, lsmrdu, and lsmrdu. Folders cannot be simply renamed because that does not change where the images try to find the ".pal" files. Images have to be reloaded to any new folders. If those images are not available, the icmrdu, lsmrdu, and lsmrdu folders can be renamed back to icmrduiker, lsmrduiker, and plrduiker so that the images can be extracted. Then they can be reloaded to icmrdu, lsmrdu, and lsmrdu folders.

Thanks. I am really surprised it worked before and why.

How should I correct this:

*** Warning: No fPlay... type of line before fPlayTime line.
*** Warning: No fPlay... type of line or fDie line after fPlayTime line.

When Fern & Jay aided me in the corrections of chinese pack, they told me that this issue is also found in vanilla animals and it might trigger a bug where breached animals won't get tranquilized by darts... It seems that you need a line with the same animation before and after every f = fPlayTime line... My solution? I deleted every fPlayTime strings except for those needed in the Die behavior xd

From Jay: All animals that come with ZT have this problem, so it is okay not to fix it. But this problem can prevent an escaped animal from being tranquilized if the animal is doing fPlayTime when the tranquilizer dart is fired. So if you want to fix the problem, these would be the changes to make in rduiker.uca.

In [BehaviorSet\bUneasy1] and [y\BehaviorSet\bUneasy1], change "f = fPlayTime(stand,3)" to:
f = fPlay(stand)
f = fPlayTime(stand,2)

In [BehaviorSet\bAngry1] and [y\BehaviorSet\bAngry1], change "f = fPlayTime(stand,7)" to:
f = fPlayTime(stand,6)
f = fPlay(stand)

In [BehaviorSet\bDie], change the first "f = fPlayTime(sleep,5)" to:
f = fPlayTime(sleep,4)
f = fPlay(sleep)

In [BehaviorSet\bBored1] and [BehaviorSet\bBored2], change "f = fPlayTime(stand,10)" to:
f = fPlay(stand)
f = fPlayTime(stand,8)
f = fPlay(stand)

These changes make it so that the line before fPlayTime and the line after fPlayTime is a fPlay, fPlayPingPong, fPlayReverse, fPlayWithSound, or fDie line. The number in fPlayTime is reduced by the number of fPlay lines added.

ok, here is it, corrected. Now it should work.

So, I installed all stuff needed for making ZT animals (new gimp is pain in the ...), and reworked North American beaver, darker and with more animations. Now I am trying two different sets of animations, and deciding which one would fit the beavers more. Is there anyone who would like to test them and tell me their opinion? I don´t have much time these days because of work, so it´d be much quicker.

And a little glimpse of something that I was working on along the beavers. Maybe it´d be finished before them, rework of my foxes.

Can you guess the island?

PS: does anyone have a link for a list of ID´s ZT uses? I had one before, but I can´t find it anymore.

Which ids do you mean? Rocks, foliage string ids or the internal names. Or some other ids?

All of them would be the best, please.

Yeah I keep version 2.10... Sometimes it gets buggy, but I find it more intuitive than newer versions

From Jay:
I assume you are referring to the question about a list of ZT IDs. I also assume the question is for configuring animals. There are lists in the 4 DG topics "[cSuitableObjects] section in animal configuration", "[cCompatibleAnimals] section in animal configuration", "Animal, staff, and guest IDs for setting cPrey in animal configuration", and "cGenus id numbers", which are in the following board:

http://www.ztcdd.org/DG/index.php?board=307.0

In addition, here is a list of user made shelter IDs that are recognized by the animal configuration checker / suitability guide program:

2499 Fancy Small Shelter
2504 Large Fancy Shelter
2585 Natural Shelter
2726 Limestone Shelter
2744 Tunnel Shelter Entrance
2929 Gate Shelter
2930 Shelter For All Animals
2931 Cave Shelter
2934 Fancy Shelter
2935 Rustic Shelter
7572 Underground Cave - for specific habitat
7575 Burrow Shelter
7619 Rainforest Shelter
7692 Topiary Gardens Wooden Shelter
7744 Barn shelter
7946 Tree Trunk Shelter
7949 Shelter For Small Animals
8720 Vulcan Shelter
8721 Forest Shelter
8722 Baobob Tree Shelter
8723 Tropical Dino Cave
8724 Cage Shelter
8725 Highland Shelter
8726 Aftmound Shelter
8896 Small Rock Cave
8900 Burrow Complex

As for GIMP, although I also have GIMP 3.0.4, I use GIMP 2.8.22.

Reworked foxes. + some bonuses. I reworked the animations of most of the animals except Japanese Raccoon Dog. I also reworked my sable with model of a marten, and changed its compatibility to Raccoon Dog. I changed the environment for Cinnamon Black Bear, with Western Gray Fox compatible with it. Bonuses are Snowy Owl (compatible with Greenland Arctic Fox), Cozumel Raccoon and Cozumel Coati (compatible with Cozumel fox).

Animals:
