dlupdates vs Updates

I have read mentioning of putting things in dlupdates folder, however I have put all objects in the Zoo Tycoon\Updates and they have worked fine, and put the dll things in just the Zoo Tycoon folder. They work too. So exaclty what is the difference with dlupdates and Updates (plus another one that's dupdates or something)?

The dlupdate folder was introduced with CC, I believe. The reason why we always use the dlupdate folder instead of the Updates folder is so that we can easily manage what's USER-created and what comes with the game. I keep additional folders inside my dlupdate folder to help keep me organized. ZT can only handle so many ztds at once, so keeping them organized is a MUST for anyone who loves UCI's as much as I do :laugh:

 

The only items I put in my Updates folder are items that I want for every single zoo, like the invisible fence. It's also VERY helpful if you're a club member and have to use only certain user-made items for the zoo.
