Microbru's Forest Hike Zoo

Microbru

Recommended Posts

Design Specifications:

This is a zoo set in the middle of a forested area not too far from town. Each exhibit area is 200x200 (assuming each square is 10x10) and contains 1 animal exhibit, 2 types of vegetation and 2 types of scenic items (not including what was necessary for the animals in their exhibits). The scenery was randomly chosen and paired earlier. The zoo buildings were also randomly chosen as were a selection of rocks. The animals, pathways, and necessary items like benches and garbage cans were picked specifically to harmonize with the random scenery. There is little to nothing on the pathways between exhibit areas, though some scenery was added outside the exhibit areas when I felt it appropriate.

My thoughts:

I'm a big fan of forcing myself to use random items to keep me from using my same favorites over and over. I liked the idea of hiking a half-mile of peaceful forest before reaching the next section though it takes its toll on the guest's enthusiasm. I had intended it to be a somewhat circular path, but at the lake section, I had to build a bridge connection back to the beginning because guests started pooling up there and refusing to go any farther. Here's a couple of long-shot to get an idea of the overall look. Hope you enjoy your stay.

what a wonderful project...everything looks really nice.. My problem is I always use certain items in each zoo I do, so I'm going to give your idea a try..
