Ashea Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I am on AT&T/sbcgobal. Same thing happened me when I ran the trace - timed out. (Fern dear - I tried to pm you but your box must be full)
Fern Posted March 19, 2013 Author Posted March 19, 2013 Yes it is.....nothing new there. lol My one at ztuf is almost empty. From Jay As for Firehawke's response, we were expecting the tracert for ztcdd.org to time out. What was important was where it timed out and how its results compared to the tracert for Phoenix. It might also show whether any of the computers it went through were SBC, Ameritech, or AT&T computers.
Firehawke Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I reran the tracerts. Here's what I got... (Admin)Savannahjan Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Would it make any difference if there was a different link straight into a topic? I remember at one point there was someone who could not get onto either our site or Unleashed, but they could get in to a direct link to an inner area. Then they could navigate to the main page. I think it was a link to an image.
Fern Posted March 20, 2013 Author Posted March 20, 2013 They could try any of the download links I put in the DG topic since they cannot get there either.
Ashea Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 I did try that yesterday with a direct link to the Socrata thread at DD - No luck.
Firehawke Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I've tried the link at the beginning of the thread and the links in Fern's sig. I also just tried a link in the DG topic. No luck. :gnomesmileyf:
Fern Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 I don't know what changed but Ashea and Cricket can now get back on. Maybe the isp concerned realised there was a problem. It might have affected other sites and someone complained. Who knows and I guess we never will know.
(Admin)Cricket Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I am so beyond pleased that we can get back on now!!!! You know, the only thing that I can think of that changed was that an automatic windows update got applied the other night. Apparently, it was some sort of service pack. That must have 'shook something loose' lol
ARIZNANA Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Windows updates are notorious for causing problems . My automatic update is turned off . and I reload my os for winxp every 6 mos. winxp and ie8 were never meant to work together either so i that also causes problems . Most websites no longer like ie7 but they will accecpt ie6 . Dont know why that is because ie6 is slower . Glad you are all back on and ok now .
