Rasun37 Posted July 20, 2010 Author Posted July 20, 2010 Here are the recent changes: Flamingos: The Komodo Dragons: Description: They have a little beach which they can lay on to bask in the sun. They have a pond and rainforest and a cave where guests can view them up close safely. Penguin Island: And so you can see all edits and new exhibits:

Rasun37 Posted March 3, 2011 Author Posted March 3, 2011 Ok... so.... the old penguin cage made them unhappy... soo I made a new one :) and a new area.... what could go here?? hmmm...
Guest Tycoon_mom Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Overall looks very nice. Even with the simple concrete walkways, it looks good. I like the flowerbeds in the new areas. The croc exhibit looks great and very natural. I am a big fan of water. Suggestions: 1. Water comes from and goes to somewhere. Keep this in mind for the overall layout and it will be pleasing and coherent. For example, there could be a lake or a mountain with a waterfall further into the zoo. 2. Guests will not "view" an exhibit from more than 2 squares away. The more animals they "see" while walking down the paths, the happier they will be. 3. Guests prefer tables/benches to be about 3 squares from the food source. There doesn't seem to be a reason for them to even enter the cute little eating area. No path out, no animals to view nearby... 4. I would put a connecting path on the far left side between the 2 large central paths. (1st screenshot) Grids are good for traffic flow. 5. Zookeepers don't need ramps to get in and out of sunken/raised exhibits. They will happily step off a cliff. 6. Add some observation areas (I mean the overhead thingys)- they can really add to the overall aesthetics. 7. If you really want a challenge- try the bridges and tunnels download. They are a bit tricky to learn, but offer lots of cool options with the "cliff" design you've got going. 8. Silly penguins! What was wrong with the first exhibit? I have noticed they like lots and lots of little snowy rocks. It will actually make them happier than 1 big rock. And somehow the amount of terrain to water seems high. Usually I can barely fit a shelter and rocks on the amount of land they want. 9. Add a hippo to the flamingo exhibit and it will be your most popular one! Best of luck and have fun!
Firehawke Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 I love the new penguin area! Can't wait to see what you put in the new area!
