MaTT² Posted September 15, 2013 Author Posted September 15, 2013 It's time to show you my new carnivore area ^^ Still building exhibits without visible fences and wilder than the previous zoo, I tried to create specific atmosphere for the carnivores with rocky environnement. Here are the pics ! The entrance of the area, with the lion statue, guarding the place and watching the visitors while they cross the river at the ford Exhibit 011 - African Lion The exhibit is borded by cliffs and a baobab forest (where leopards live) with many rocks, included their toys. Exhibit 012 - Cheetah This one is surrounded by the Mara River, with the wildebeast on the other side .. looks very natural I thought :) You can see the border forest of the leopard exhibit, which is nearby with the cheetah. Exhibit 013 - Leopard A baobab forest where the animals can hide from the visitors if needed, and play with their tree-toy. The observation area is concealed under the trees. Exhibit 014 - African Wild Dog A large exhibit for the group, with cliffs, fallen rocks and wide waterfall falling from a future exhibit (guess wich one ^^) Exhibit 015 - Spotted Hyena Last one for the carnivore section, with more rocky elements than before too. I also love the cascade effect :) To conclude for teh carnivore area : an overview from the 5 exhibits : I hop you will enjoy and see the changes ! :)
WaterDragoon Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 you are on a whole other level my friend. :)
(Trustee)ZooGrammy Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 The exhibits are tremendous as always. They look so natural.
Firehawke Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Beautiful job!!! Looks very natural...love the waterfalls!
MaTT² Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 Thank you all ^^ Glad you like the new version of these exhibits ! The next 5 will also be totally changed, I'm planning their conception but, waiting for it, here's the leaflet for the carnivores area : Cover : "rendez-vous into carnivore's territory" Introducing the carnivores area (I might be a little bit inspired by Katy Perry's last song ^^) The Wildcats Rock (for lions, cheetahs and leopards) Others animals Sponsoring program for animals : visitors can now sponsor an animal and get some advantages as privileged members Hope you'll like it :)
Rinding FT Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Wow~ love the new pics and the cats's pic looks great!
MaTT² Posted October 22, 2013 Author Posted October 22, 2013 New pics from my last savannah area ! I'm very busy actually so don't have enough time to work on my zoo but .. finally it's over :) Exhibit 016 - Great Flamingo Here the flamingo's lagoon with waterfalls and a long wooden bridge offering to the visitors a great view over the exhibit .. my new favourite one for the moment ^^ Focus on the lagoon Exhibit 017 - Ostrichs As I decided to create some "links" between most of my exhibits, I put a fall coming from the flamingos into the ostrichs exhibit :) Focus on the exhibit Exhibit 018 - African Warthogs This exhibi is linked by water too, with the attraction close to it : Exhibit 019 - Blackbucks Exhibit 020 - Red Kangaroos Seperately, all these exhibits are quite "simple" but with an overview, you'll see that there ar still no fences for the visitors nor between the animals, as I did with the "open savannah" for the herbivores. It gives the illusion of a unique exhibit, trying to built the most natural area as possible :) To finish for today, here is the tunnel leading to the first Attraction Area, the Akwaba Village (next post .. !)
Firehawke Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Love the bridge and waterfall area by the flamingos!!!
