Moving on to something a little wetter, let’s see what’s going on at the aquarium!



It features a variety of small fish and jellyfish, including the Blackweed Butterflyfish, the Copperband Butterflyfish, the Humphead Wrasse, the Pennant Coralfish, the Foxface Rabbitfish, the Australian Spotted Jellyfish, the Cannonball Jellyfish, the Cross Jellyfish, the Flowerhat Jellyfish, the Fried Egg Jellyfish, the Lions Mane Jellyfish, the Purple Striped Jellyfish, the Yellow Jellyfish, the Bluelined Surgeon, the Moorish Idol, the Queen Angelfish, the Sergeant Major, the Achilles Tang, the Powder Blue Tang, the Purple Tang, the Sohal Tang, the Yellow Tang, the Chocolate Neon Tetra, the Firehead Tetra, the Peruvian Tetra, the Red Phantom Tetra, the Silvertip Tetra, the Tucano Tetra, the Deep-Water Trachymedusa, and the Klunzinger’s Wrasse

Across from the aquarium is another creature fond of water, the White Tiger

 

Another big animal in the PRZ is the Grizzly Bear, situated next to the gift shop.



If you head towards the welcoming bear statue, you will find a tunnel like cave, leading to the possibility of a great view!

The next place to visit in the Aviary, featuring the Greater Flamingo and the Scarlet Ibis

The aviary has 2 entrances, one of which leads into the garden area, which has 2 additional entrances



It is filled with all sorts of lovely sites, including flowers, fountains, statues, a garden gnome, and a chance to take in a ground view look at the birds!

The very last area in the PRZ is an area that has been in the works for quite some time. I am pleased to unveil the Platte River Natural History Museum!





The PRNHM features the latest in animatronics and currently features the following creatures of old: the Ammonite, the Lambeosaurus, the Ophthalmosaurus, the Othniella, the Oviraptor, the Stegosaurus, and the Tuojiangosaurus.

Bonus info!

Pretty much all of the ideas used in this zoo are either inspired by exhibits I have seen in real life and wanted to recreate in the game, or are things I've been wanting to build for a while.

In the case of the museum, I've been trying to work on it for over a year, but kept putting it aside because I got too overwhelmed trying to figure out what to not include. The museum also includes a Minmi exhibit, but I neglected to take a pic. When I tried to reload the zoo, the game freaked out...probably WAY too many flowers

A new round of contest pics from the current Feral contest. This time, the theme was to create a themed area with at least one building for guests. I created "A Windowed Walk through the Woods"

It's easy to see where it's name comes from!



It also features some observation rooms...

Currently, there are two exhibits that can be viewed from the various windows and observation rooms, allowing you to see the European Badger and Red Deer.









Also featured is a lovely river exhibit in the round, featuring Wels Catfish, Channel Catfish, Northern Pike, River Redhorse, Longear Sunfish, and Orange Spotted Sunfish.
