OH and I'm sure everybody can tell my biggest weakness in this game is space-filling as I leave a lot of unnecessary open gaps in places that are very awkward to obsessive eyes like mine. spatial awareness is not my forte. if anybody has any tips for how to fill them I'd be oh so thankful. 😅

You might be able to strengthen your spacial reasoning skills by playing other games. Tetris is one such game which tests one's spacial reasoning ability, but it may be too demanding as you're in a time crunch to figure out how and where each piece fits best.

Playing with tangrams could be easier, and it's great fun besides. The thing about tangrams is that the pieces, when placed correctly, form a perfect square. If you can figure out how to make a square, you can figure out how to fill-in those empty plots with appropriately sized items.

Shoot, even packing a suitcase for a long trip can be a worthy exercise. Just grab everything you'd want or need to take with you wherever and keep trying to fit it all in one piece of luggage.

Hope that helps. Have fun!

I´ve had this zoo since I was at the beginning of my university studies (so... 10 years ago). Now, whole map is full, not a square wasted... And it takes about 3 minutes to load.

I think your zoos look more like real-life zoos than this one.

2nd part of scavengers. I let cinereous and bearded vultures use normal walk animation instead of the crouched walk I used for other vultures, because I think it looks better for them (the same applies to Egyptian vulture from previous pack). You may look at that non-used animation in APE (march animation), and write your opinion if it´s better for them than currently used one.

It was quite hard to figure out compatibility (some raptor species have patchy, but very large distributions), since I settled on present ones. For example one idea was hills of Spain, with bearded, cinereous, griffon and egyptian vultures compatible together.

I think Himalayan vulture would be great addition to this pack. Sadly, no one has made it.

Animals:

Common Raven, Golden Eagle, Bonneli´s Eagle, Bearded Vulture, Cinereous Vulture

All compatible together.

Enjoy!

Next ones: there´ll be some more scavengers. Can you guess where from?

A little respite from all that horrid scavengers. Another marshland pack, on this one I had been working for a long time.

Animals:

southamrtica.jpg.f5d95df70e60b39fa277e6f3262dc882.jpg

Northern Screamer, Muscovy Duck, Orinoco Goose, Ringed Teal, American Flamingo, Wood Stork, Roseate Spoonbill, Whistling Heron

Maguari Stork, Black-Bellied Whistling Duck, Black-Necked Swan, Peruvian Pelican

Compatibility:

Northern Screamer, Whistling Heron, Maguari Stork, Black-Bellied Whistling Duck, Black-Necked Swan

Orinoco Goose, Ringed Teal, American Flamingo, Roseate Spoonbill

Muscovy Duck, Wood Stork - Borsato´s Brazilian Tapir

Peruvian Pelican - Borsato´s Humboldt´s Penguin

There will be some ibises (bare-faced and green) compatible with the first two exhibits in upcoming Ibis pack.

I am also thinking of some cormorant species for pelican-penguin exhibit, to create something like this: https://zooinstitutes.com/exhibits/3291.html

Enjoy!

Spoonbills are some of my most favorite birds just by how severe-looking and primordial they are. When I hear paleontologists talk about birds being descendants of dinosaurs, my brain immediately pictures a spoonbill.

I've just realized how ridiculous it looks to have a cover over the animals, but I was going for realism's sake.

Here are the Wolf´s Mona Monkeys. They are one of the few animals in this save file that I haven't paired with another species. They're showing no problems whatsoever.

First is with the cage roofs, second is without, and third is with foliage hidden.

The parents may have gone into the shelter at this point. I purchased three babies to satisfy their 'need for animals of the same type.;Zoo662.jpg.9df4f8adfdbe8a2a0850f73bcdd44737.jpgZoo663.jpg.f36e6c6b589c3646e5612ba7cff00c15.jpgZoo664.jpg.cb164423f7f4648faf16eb399f531319.jpg

I always think about cassowaries and shoebills to be the closest things  to dinosaurs to have. But spoonbills look weird and ancient, too. I have a good news for you - all species (except royal spoonbill which is not made for ZT2) are/will be made. Borsato´s made black-faced spoonbill, I the others (Eurasian, African, roseate are released, and yellow-billed is to be released in Australian marshland pack). MSC3323 has also made great-looking roseate spoonbill, but I think a little too big for ZT (this is why I made my own version).

I think it looks good when you put cover above some exhibits, especially monkes or birds with some flying animation. Quite realistic.

Can you post your next pics to this topic:

please? Just not to crowd this topic, so people don´t miss new releases or I don´t miss some bug reports.

PS: writing about bugs, Ren-Tschi wrote me that he had some problems with my mamenchisaurus, eggs wouldn´t hatch. I haven´t had any problems with it, so if anyone can try that dinosaur and report if there´s some problem, I´ll be really glad. Thank to anybody who´ll try.

I may actually keep the roof parts off because I want to be able to enjoy watching them myself, even if it means losing some of that realism. I will snap shots of the parents later on. Next will be dinosaur exhibits.

OH and I just saw the link to that thread above. Yes of course all of my future screenshots will be posted there. 🙂

I'm glad that you mentioned the mamenchisaurus because that is the dinosaur I was going to build for next! Would you prefer I not use them for now since people are having issues?
