Trying for a plaque shot first so gunning a little higher on fidelity, restarting wings. will probably keep this version even through animation though.

Deliberately ignoring wing feather morphology to double down on the mythology aspect? Primaries and secondaries and coverts follow clear rules in real birds, which you may or may not want to stick to.

Less deliberate and more blissful ignorance haha. I'll give the morphology another look. I think giving a mythological animal a more grounded design so it fits with with Zoo Tycoon makes a lot of sense.

School is basically over so had time to touch this project again. Improvements to wing morphology (i was just uh...😏😎...wingin' it last time):

Still needs rigging and animations so no posing yet. I think in most animations it will tend to have its wings folded and will only fly when it uses its toys or gets excited (wing flap). I might be in the minority that thinks most flying animal mods look a bit odd otherwise, but mainly I'm concerned about the footprint clipping at full wingspan.

 

I'm eager to work on the baby griffins. I imagine them as pudgier, rounder like a chick and kitty, and no wings.

Wow, this is looking great!  Yeah, can't wait to see the babies.  I do like for things to fly, but you know, a little goes a long way.

I made a baby fountain to do some Blender rendering experiments. It's kind of a throwaway to be honest. Would anyone be interested in having it coded or otherwise would you want it and you can code it? I won't be animating it.
