These birds find their migration homes all across Europe, however a large population make their permanent homes near the Gambia and surrounding locations. Rasun37 Posted January 17, 2013 Author Share Posted January 17, 2013 Pushing through the brush, and upon a hill I came upon the beautiful area where the lush forest ended and a vast grassy area was exposed with dunes of the Sahara behind. A magnificent second sight got my heart beating. I encountered a solitary male African Bush Elephant. It was truly a blessing to see such an endangered and magnificent elephant unharmed by poachers that lurk the african plains to slaughter these creatures only for their tusks.
