Rasun37 Posted January 17, 2013 Author Posted January 17, 2013 Truly I had been lucky! An even more endangered animal, the Black Rhinoserous. Infortunately shares the same story with the elephant, and his horns are prized by poachers. These creatures are believed to be extinct in what was once their home, all across Africa, and now live in sparse locations. It is surprising to see one in this area.
Rasun37 Posted January 17, 2013 Author Posted January 17, 2013 Upon a hill overlooking some dunes, I had heard a strange scuffling and digging noise, and chuckled as I realized I had stumbled upon an aardvark scavenging for some food!
Rasun37 Posted January 17, 2013 Author Posted January 17, 2013 Another noise startled me and I saw a Caracal emerging from the brush! Perhaps it had been hunting the aardvark. I was unsure, but it was time to leave the area. I needed to catch my private flight to the Ahaggar Mountains, a large mountainous part of the rocky desert in the very center of the Sahara! Hopefully I can uncover an oasis ecosystem! Can't wait to head out and get more shots!
Fern Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Some nice screens Are you using user made files or are they all ingame files. I was just thinking that some of that foliage might be nice for ZT1. I have the game just don't have it loaded.
Rinding FT Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Oh~~ it's very nice~~ @Fern: I think the tall bush is user made file, some maybe, too, and ingame files mixed.. :)
Fern Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I was thinking more of the pink and the blue flowers above the aardvark and also the yellow flowering one with the aardvark. There are a couple of people I might be able to get permission to use their stuff. (Ex ZA people)
Rasun37 Posted January 17, 2013 Author Posted January 17, 2013 The pink flowers near the aardvark are included in the game but most other flowers are downloads.
Firehawke Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 More wonderful pics!!! Great job capturing animals! Thanks for the link, RDingFT!
Rasun37 Posted January 18, 2013 Author Posted January 18, 2013 Thank you again! A shot of the desolate Ahaggar Mountains.. but what is this! An oasis! And it teams with wildlife! Let's get a closer look... Wow.. yet another endangered animal, this one with few individuals in the wild. Here, I spot a pregnant mother, a joyful sight.
