StickyFeet
Another thing I noticed, has anyone came across the problem of their animals not eating? The Ibex I have in an exhibit refuse to eat but do everything else but that. -Edit- Animations for some animals kind of bug out at random moments, so far I have seen this with the lioness and African elephant. Fern
I do have Dinosaur Digs as well, but I rarely created dino parks, so I wouldn't be able to spot differences on DD beta screenshots. Some of us might be able to.
jbl89
Very interesting discovery. Im sure most of you already knew this but at one point in time (I'm not sure if its this way anymore), but Zoo Admin had a few of the beta items up as downloadable. Items such as the binocular stand, an elephant statue, and the lion statue. Â ZT.NL ( zootycoon.nl) still has the beta statues available. I was also planning to include them in the expansion pack I had started, together with the binoculars. And I had created a working umbrella table with no weird guest issues/graphics :)
Jens
Hi everyone! Â Some of you might remember me. I haven't been active in the ZT community for a while now, but I was the owner of the original "Zoo Tycoon Unlimited" website which featured some of the first user-created items for the original Zoo Tycoon. I recently found a copy of the Zoo Tycoon beta while cleaning up my old hard drive and of interest I started looking for any information on it on google which brought me to this topic. Because a lot of people seem interested in seeing the old beta screenshots, I managed to find some old screenshots in my archive from even before the beta that was leaked online. There might not be a lot of differences in some screenshots, but it's fun to see the old gift shop, zoo administration building, 2x2 toilets, etc! Have fun finding the differences :)
mrspiggy
Wow, I love the 2 square bathroom, maybe someone can design a new one. I also like the 3rd screen showing the menu bar 3 across. Would make looking for items much easier..wish they had kept it. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Ashea
Wow, thanks for sharing Jens! Â The shelter in the bighorn sheep looks interesting! Would have like to have a working "open" shelter for some of the animals. The color schemes seem softer also.
Fern
Hi Jens. Nice to see you back here again. That seems to be a different beta from the one I downloaded from the link earlier in the thread. That two tile bathroom was not in it, that I could see. And the giftshop was different and closer to what was released. I did manage to extract that one and release it at DG beta giftshop It had 2 entrances. Did you ever get the DD or MM betas?
Jens
No I did not sadly. I just had these screenshots in my archive because I was interested in seeing the evolution of the game from beta to final :) Wish we could find them too!
Fern
I can't help wondering if DJ Pluffs got one for MM. I vaguely remember something he posted at ZT Design but was it a beta or an early release before it hit the stores.
