i've searched here and google and can't find any more conversation on tank(s).cfg specifically - would anyone mind linking me to a page that explains what it looks like and what the options do for manual editing?

oddly enough, looking in my configs.ztd, i dont even Have a tank(s).cfg, even though i have ZTCC. quite confused here but eager to learn!

It's actually inside the config3.ztd, which itself is inside the XPACK2 game folder.

You can either edit the file where it is, or you can also copy the tanks.cfg file and put the new copy into your dlupdates folder, and since it's in there it will take priority over the one in the game files folders. That way you can always revert back to default just by removing the edited one from your dlupdates.

tankTerrain is the value you want to change for the tank floor, and the corresponding numbers are in notes above it.

waterOffset is another useful one, if you change -1 to 0, the water level of a tank will be the same water level as the top edge of the tank.

Changing the values don't affect tanks that are already built, so if you want them to update you have to delete part of it and remake the tank so that it updates.
Or, you can use that to your advantage to have multiple different tanks with multiple different values, by changing the value but then not updating that tank. But they will update to the values in the current file if the tank is edited (deleted and re-made) later.

Crystal clear, thanks a million ^^
