Koi ponds are vibrant and colorful IRL and I wanted to emulate that as best I could. I stayed with the in-game Japanese trees because I don't think I've ever seen a Japanese tree mod addon, at least one that had similar texture resolution. I dont like to add trees with high and low texture resolutions together—they can look odd and out of place depending on what kind of look you're trying to pull off. Those green trees, however, are Dr. Rick's Adler trees. They look very beautiful next to the Japanese trees.

EDIT: How could I forget Genkicoll's Fantasy Foliage mod? I used to use that years ago before I even knew what the word "mod" meant. They would fit in beautifully with a koi pond.

There are some bonsai foliage stuff somewhere that would fit. Probably done by genki or RDingFT.

First image: Giant Eland (one of my top favorite antelopes of all time. I adore that tawny, almost reddish pelt with the stripes) with Black Crowned Cranes as their habitat companions.

Second image: Indian Flying Fox with Ghirin's Cobalt Indian Ring-necked Parakeet

Third: Koi by themselves

Final: Golden Takins with Golden Pheasants (who breed like it's their job lmfao)
