(Designer)Zarawatto Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 Oh my! I almost forgot that the original ZT just reached its 20s last month! Because of this ZooTycoonVersary, I just came out with this idea... But first, a short tale: For almost the 15 years playing ZT CC, I was always a vanilla user, because I tried user made content, but it was not convincent and some used to crash my PC. Then I found Taz's stuff and I got amazed with the few animals she made. These were the only user made creations I kept for years. Besides, some times I got saved zoos from other players in forums like ZTCenter or ZKLounge, because their screenshots were awesome, but then i tried running those zoos and found a lot of missing items, sometimes missing paths or buildings (resulting in guests lost in an endless nonsense walking) and, of course, lots and LOTS of empty exhibits. Because of this, for the ZT 20th anniversary, I will take my Empty Zoos Challenge! Summing it, consisting of clearing all of the campaign with most of the user made content. Sure many of you have tried this. As the name suggests, a full vanilla player would see just an empty zoo if trying these saved zoos. The main goal is build a Void Zoo where no in-game content is used, resulting in a vanilla game having just the staff, the guests and the terrain modifications. The rules are the following: For beginner campaign: - The unlimited cash cheat is banned. - Every path must be replaced with user-made paths, and the default way cannot be modified. - Unless the campaign demands it (i. e. where the animals are donated ), no in-game animals may be adopted. Repeating species between campaigns is not forbidden, but preferably use one time each for more diversity. This also should be keep in mind about biomes. Plus those for beginner ones, for intermediate campaign: - No in-game decorative fences may be bougth. - No in-game scenery may be bought. Plus those for intermediate ones, for advanced campaign: - Unless the campaign demands it, or the map has default buildings, no in-game buildings may be used. - No in-game exhibit fences, tank walls or filters may be bought. Plus those for advanced ones, for very advanced campaign: - No items inside exhibits (foliage, rocks or shelters) may be in-game. - No in-game decorative foliage may be bought. - Basically, at this point the only in-game allowed content will be staff. In order to modify the most of the in-game animals for the use when needed, i also got the SideshowBob/Flamethrower/TasmanianTiger Nature vs ZT Megahack and VND's Combined Realism Hack (which of course includes P.Rex/Vondell No Grass, Please!) If I'm missing any topic, let me know... With all of this said and because it's better show you an example, let me introduce you to: Empty Littleburg Zoo from the Small Zoo campaign: User-made only resctricted: Animals and paths. (Designer)Zarawatto Posted November 18, 2021 Author Posted November 18, 2021 I'm glad you're liking it!
