sure would. has it never been tried before? i was only wondering because caddie was saying about using it in different kinds of zoos, and wanting it in different colours. so maybe if the option of changing the colour was available then everyone should be happy either way.

Even the basic building is going to be a major undertaking. The lily fountains I recently releas...Wait...did I release those? Hmm. Well, anyway, the lily fountains alone had I think 32 unique images each - 8 images per view. Something like this is going to be much more labor-intensive, not to mention how large the file will be.

I have a different definition of "rustic", log cabin would be rustic, this looks Western, with the reins, horseshoe, etc...but I do like the idea of being able to color change the building. I also like the idea of the sign placement. So I can't put it in an Asian zoo, I still can use it. The one that I downloaded is good in some applications, but would like a "building" for other zoos, etc. I bow to the designers, who know what can and can't be done!

Well, some or all of you may be happy to know that I've completely redesigned the building to make it more generically "horsey" and less themed. You'll just have to wait for the finished product though. *evil grin*

No one has provided the right tools to get the colours in the right order to accomplish making a colour changing building. Blue Fang never intended players to make buildings, paths or fences. They made APE so scenery and animals could be made. Only due to the efforts of some exceptional people, have the other things been made.

 

It is a shame that BF did not provide the some of the abilities that Roller Coaster Tycoon has with building parts,signs and elevated areas. But they didn't, and we have to work with what we have.

i still find it amazing now, how you guys come up with the stuff you do. your normal average people who dont do this for a living, and are not experts in game designs, or whatever you call it.

 

i think its amazing. and zt1 would be such a bland plain game to play without all the designers UCI/UCA's.

 

i think you could say that i am a little envious, for i do not have the skill, patience, and knowledge to do what you guys do.

By you - NO as the programming/configuring are different

By some designers - yes but that is by changing the graphics and configuring.

Many files are made from graphics extracted from other games like RCT, Wildlife Park and many others. Usually done by screenshots and then cleaned and configured for ZT. In some cases, some have permission to use user made stuff from RCT. You will find Yellowrose's Oz pack credits the RCT designer who allowed her to use his designers.

Some designers also use RCT to build something and then save it and convert it to ZT. Many of Toodlepops and Yellowroses buildings are done this way. Toodlepops then also adds her own touches to them
