Firehawke Posted December 26, 2014 Author Posted December 26, 2014 Contest entry from Feral (hence why there's so many pics in one post) No snow on Christmas? Stop here to feel chilly! Getting hit with snow as you enter will help set the tone for your visit A nice arctic theme all around The caribou like the weather The Pacific Walrus wants to welcome you And the Musk Ox wants to show off The exhibits are separated by low fencing to help the animals feel like they are in an open area. Hope you enjoyed your adventure!

Firehawke Posted February 17, 2015 Author Posted February 17, 2015 Feral's theme for the month is "Reptile Rampage" and there are two contests that I'm part in. First up, the screenshot contest featuring three reptiles: Here we have the Galapagos Giant Tortoise grabbing a "quick" bite to eatIs this frog going to be quick enough, or will the Mugger Crocodile have a snack? Here we have a graceful Green Sea Turtle
Firehawke Posted February 17, 2015 Author Posted February 17, 2015 Thanks, Kreek! The other contest was to build a Reptile House...sorry for SO many pics in one post! Welcome to the Rambling Rosehip Reptile House...we hope you enjoy your visit!Don't be alarmed...these Komodo Dragons are amazing replicas...These guys, however, are the real deal. Our Komodo Dragon colony, the focal point of the RRRH, has thrived so much that a number of them have been released back into the wild! The RRRH also features:Galapagos Land IguanasNile Monitor (only 1 at this time)African Spurred TortoisesLava LizardsGila Monster (also only 1 at this time...and don't worry, it's just showing off its tummy)And for our amphibian fans, Australian Green Tree Frogs...although our experts are sure that one of these species is misclassified and should be Red Eyed Tree FrogsIf you would like to rest and watch our fabulous animals, there are places you to do that!Hope you enjoyed you visit to the Rambling Rosehip Reptile House!
