Could you direct me to a guide on how to make animal combined ZTDs?

This is the one that worked best for me. The example used is for foliage & scenery, so I practiced on that first. I've since combined animals, buildings, and fences. Have fun!

Since you are the most active modder, would you be interested if I did a small tutorial on how to sharpen textures in blender? Your animals would greatly benefit from it.
Here's an example on the effects.

The bottom whale is just scenery, notice how despite being smaller in size, the texture is way less blurry. It does with a side effect of a thicker outline if you put too much, as you can see around the mouth.

With this we have all canids in ZT (As species)

You´re welcome. Not all canids are made, some are coming (side-striped jackal) + some that may be species, depends on taxonomy.

Thank you, I did see and use those. Could you direct me to a guide on how to make animal combined ZTDs?

Also, on the page 66 of this topic, you have guide with pictures how to combine animals .ztds into one file.

As a sometimes zoo2 designer I find the translation process fascinating, and I appreciate your effort to work with scale and compatibility. I'm planning to try out some more of your animals in the near future. Have you ever modified the skins or models of an existing zoo2 animal to suit your needs?

Yes, sometimes they need some changes, and sometimes I change existing model into new animal (slender-billed vulture, for example).

I don´t know how to make new textures, though.

YES!!!!! that would help a lot.

I corrected animals, here they are. I haven´t corrected behaviourial issues that result in ground behaviour sometimes played on the land, that is something I need to look into, and I plan to do that for all my waterbirds all at once. Bigger corrections were made for Weka and Anteosaurus, where some animations were not played. Other corrections were just deleting of redundant lines, doubled suitability lines, etc.

I don´t know how to make new textures, though.

Let me know if you ever need help with this, I am not great at zoo2-quality textures but for the purposes of rendering animals in zt1, I am sure I can do more than well :)  or I can run you through how it is done, whatever works!

It often surprises me how much texture detail survives the conversion process.

Knowing how to make a texture would be great, for a long time I want to make some more hornbills - while changing existing models to different proportions/beak shapes is something I can do, I am not able to make a texture. So, if it´s not too exhausting, can you send me some guide how to make a new texture, please?

And question for everyone:

what breeds of chickens do you think I can make from  these models?

Just out of curiosity Hawkkeye, would you ever consider making different elephant species? They're one of my all time favorite animals and when I learned about the Pygmy Bornean elephant the other day I fell immediately in love.
