Yep. I think they are mostly errors that cause land behaviour to be played on water, missing sounds and relict lines (for example lines for marine mania animals in birds that do not live in tanks), but there are some behavioural issues in some animals (weka, paraburnetia) where I´ll have change whole behavioural pattern to some other animal.

 

Animals should be safe to use (I´ve used Borsato´s animals with the same behaviour for a very long time without problems). It´ll take me time to correct some of them.

About that.... I used to do the same, after learning how it works I've found lots of bad edits like behaviours with no animations, non declared behaviours and other few things. They don't cause crash or create errors ingame, so the animals work fine, whoever letting those are a bad habit, as it makes the uca file heavier and hit a bit of the game performance as well as it tries to work around.

Yep. Borsato was a pioneer, so he was bound to make mistakes. But most of his animals are without errors, I´d say.

 

So, I am quite busy this week, and probably whole holiday season (disertation is not gonna write itself, doesn´t matter  how long I wait for it to happen), so I will not have a time to test large older packs (except mongooses, they are mostly tested, so expect them).

 

Here is some small pack for this week, new animals I made to amuse myself, and which I wanted to make for a long time.

 

Animals:

Persian Leopard, Sumatran Tiger, South China Tiger

 

Compatibility:

zebras, giraffes, moose, gazelles, ... Just try it.

I should make the fixed version public somewhere. Or simply release the Ocean Superstar remake and let you guys use it as template.

The biggest mistake he made was accidently using the ids of the animal he used as a base rather than giving them a new id and that has created conflicts. There are a few that need new ids cos of it.
