The Red Panda is an original new endangered animal, compatible with Zoo Tycoon 1 (no expansion packs needed). You might also hear this little critter's unique cry once in a while. From Wikipedia: The red panda (Ailurus fulgens), also called the lesser panda, the red bear-cat, and the red cat-bear, is a mammal native to the eastern Himalayas and southwestern China. It has reddish-brown fur, a long, shaggy tail, and a waddling gait due to its shorter front legs; it is slightly larger than a domestic cat. It is arboreal, feeds mainly on bamboo, but also eats eggs, birds, and insects. It is a solitary animal, mainly active from dusk to dawn, and is largely sedentary during the day. - Design by Vondell - Configuration by Jeff (to admins: please test this animal once more, I'm using a slightly different version which was stable in my game. Vondell's Aquarium Tank Set 1 Five unique, fully animated aquarium tank scenery pieces, featuring live fish and other animals. These were built to complement the Aquarium Paths, Aquarium Walls, and Aquarium Roof sets, but can also be used on their own anywhere in your zoo.

Similar in size to the famous Galapagos giant tortoise but from the opposite side of the earth, the tortoises on the islands of the Aldabra Atoll in the Indian Ocean are some of the largest in the world. This mod changes the User Interface, making the Build Menu, the Animal Menu, and the Scenery Menu bigger. If you would like to see more icons in your menus then this is for you. This is meant for 1600x900 or higher widescreen resolutions, but will work on any resolution. There are 2 versions in the zip file, one that is for 800x600 screens, and the bigger one for all the rest. Only install one version. This mod integrates with Jay's allow purchase babies mod, thanks to Jay for suggesting this. This mod is technically a hack, because it modifies the following game files: buldhab.lyt, buya.lyt, buyobj.lyt, and teraform.lyt. It will not work with other mods that modify the same files. If you have an older version of this mod or you are using jay's allow purchase babies mod then you should uninstall those mods first before using this one! 1) What is zookini? Zookini is a launcher program for zoo tycoon 1. What zookini does is it edits the zoo.ini file, which is a file that zoo tycoon 1 reads at load time, and where it stores many of your game settings, including the video and sound options. 2) How do I install it? Put zookini in it's own folder anywhere on your hard drive. Run it. 3) Why edit zoo.ini? The reason I made this program is because there are some very cool things you can do with the zoo.ini that you cannot do in the game option screen inside the game. The first thing is that you can set the screensize to other sizes than the 3 that are available in game, including widescreen options for modern monitors. The zookini program looks at your windows video options, decides which screensizes that are available are ok to use with zoo tycoon, and then puts them in a dropdown list for you to select. Also, if you choose windowed mode, it only shows you the screensizes that will work with windowed mode. Other things zookini does: - Video options like updaterate for smoother graphics. - Sound Options like volume, and menu volume, as well as actually allowing you to change the theme song. - Edit the boot path so you can add your own mod folders. - Skip the startup movies. - Change the maximum guests allowed in a zoo. - Change the startup cash and maximum cash for freeform mode to up to 2 billion+ dollars. 4) Sounds complicated? I made this program as easy to use as possible. The first thing it will do is try to automatically find your zoo.ini file. If it is in your zoo tycoon install folder in program files (which it usually is) it should find it just fine. If however you have installed the game in another place, or if when you installed it, it did not have admin permissions, then it may be that you will have to search for the zoo.ini file on your own. If that is the case, just click on Load zoo.ini and navigate to the folder where your zoo.ini is located. (The usual places for this is in your user folder: localappdata). Once it finds the zoo.ini file, Zookini first makes a backup of your zoo.ini file and names it zoo.ini.original. This file is never overwritten by zookini. If you ever feel like you just want to start over with this original zoo.ini file, then you can click the Full zoo.ini Reset Button, and it will copy that zoo.ini.original to zoo.ini for you. Also, if you do ever save changes, then it will make a backup of the last zoo.ini file you had called zoo.ini.undo, which you can restore by hitting the Undo Last Save button. These 2 backups make it incredibly safe to edit your zoo.ini file without any risk. Also, there is error checking on all the input fields, to keep you from entering bad values that aren't allowed by the game, but if it somehow did happen, the game would still launch just fine (it would just replace the bad values with default values). I promise that this is a very safe and easy program to use, so don't be afraid to give it a try. :) 5) What is Drawrate, and Updaterate? You don't really need to change the DrawRate( which is basically max fps) unless you have a monitor that allows for a very high refresh rate, but it won't hurt anything to do it. UpdateRate is how many times per second the game updates the graphics. Try changing the UpdateRate to 30 or even 60 if your computer is fairly fast, and you'll notice that the animations/graphics in the game are super smooth! 6) Why does my starting cash look funny? When you change the starting cash or any cash options, it will look a little funny when you get to the freeform mode select screen but don't worry, when you go into the map, you'll see the actual cash amounts. Try setting the starting cash and maximum cash to 2,000,000,000 if you want to start out with a ton of money.

This is the base tree used in the 2019 Valentine Collection colored in 10 different colors to add a little beautification to your zoo building. This is the dragon that was promised! :) This dragon came from the original AOFE mod (I guess). I found the stand, walk, attack, and death animations, and made this dragon with them. Unfortunately, there are no flying animations, because for some reason it was a ground unit. This is my first animal so he will probably get updated. But for now it seems to work ok so try it out and let me know what you think. Updated: I was lucky to have Jay's advice on my first animal. Thank you to Jay for your help. Jay is the master!

Noodle Nook Food Stand by Jackal Your hungry guests can grab a bite to eat from this Noodle Nook Food Stand by Jackal (Savannahjan, Cricket and Anne-Lis). This food stand sells 4 different noodle dishes that will need to be eaten at a picnic table or a bench. Since it doesn't sell anything to drink, you will want to place a drink stand (and a restroom!) close by. This requires the latest version of LANG--Fern-Tek.dll

A 14-piece building set that allows for the building of greenhouse structures, including both decorative and exhibit wall fences, a variety of 1x1 and 3x3 roof tiles, and an additional fence piece intended to look like support posts. The 3x3 roofs work similar to those in Catfish's Aviary Set. Though they appear to take up 9 game tiles, they really only occupy their central tile, allowing objects to be placed freely "under" the surrounding 8 tiles. Building with these roofs can take some getting used to initially. This approach creates some graphical quirks that are unavoidable, such as tall objects appearing to clip through the roofs, or corners of the roofs appearing "behind" certain objects -- this is a tradeoff for all roofs that use this method of placement. Only fences and paths can be placed under the 1x1 roofs, as they occupy their full footprint. Still, they can be used in many different ways. Note that although the support post wall appears to have empty space between the poles, as a decorative fence, guests will not be able to walk directly through them. The roofs are configured to be able to be placed over tank water, allowing for fully "enclosed" land and tank exhibits. The roofs use the surface of the water as their "ground" when placed over tanks. This can be a little tricky to work with at first. This set can be used in conjunction with the Modern Wooden Fences set to create even more kinds of structures. This set requires the LANG--ZTCDD.dll to be placed inside the main Zoo Tycoon directory in order to properly display the custom menu information for the fences. This file is available from Zoo Tycoon Designer's Guild. The menu information may appear blank or incorrect without this file. *NOTE: The roof pieces will not work on hills.

It is an airplane hangar and functions as a visitor center and gift shop. Vondell's Aquarium Roof Set Five new roof pieces meant to complement the Aquarium Walls and Aquarium Paths sets. They are the same height as the Wall set walls (3H), and the single tile versions come in supported and supportless versions. They can also be used throughout your zoo as observation areas.

Swimming Spinosaurus by Jymn Would you look at that! The Spinosaurus at your zoo has finally caught up with modern paleontological consensus and learned to swim. Nice work, guys. They're so happy they've got a derpy new land animation that plays occasionally (made from the fence-zap animation with all the electric shock taken out) Also they're dimorphic: the ladies are dark crocodile-colours and the babies are dark with yellow spots--like baby crocodiles. The boys just have a slight color change to the inside of the mouth. Available as a hack or as a new animal. The exhibit requirements are similar to the Combined Realism Hack but you may need to make a few adjustments. Right now there aren't any 'special' animations in the water like snapping or thrashing. Maybe they'll learn some tricks over the summer...

Included in this .zip archive is a ZTD file that contains the Switchgrass by Vondell @ Zoo Tek Phoenix. To use this foliage, place that ZTD file in your Program Files/Microsoft Games/Zoo Tycoon/dlupdates folder. This ZTD file contains information for two complimentary versions of the Switchgrass. Switchgrass (Habitat) is habitat foliage and will count toward an animal's exhibit suitability rating, Switchgrass (Decorative) will not. This is a total User Interface replacement mod for Zoo Tycoon 1 Complete Collection. This mod was designed for widescreens but will work in any screen resolution. This mod is technically a hack, because it modifies game files. It will not work with other mods that modify these same files. The files that it modifies are pretty much every UI template in the game. Fortunately, very few mods have ever used these files. As of right now, there are only 3 other mods that are known to modify any of these files, and those mods are Jay's Purchase Babies Hack, Jay's Developer Menu Hack, and Jay's Developer Map Editor. So I made my UI mod compatible with all 3 of those hacks. In the case of Jay's Purchase Babies Hack, I have integrated it fully into this mod. But with Jay's Developer Menu Hack, and Jay's Developer Map Editor Hack you still need to download his mods or they won't work. One other note: This UI mod will not affect your zoos, or your old saved games, so you can uninstall it at anytime, and it will not cause any issues. Instructions: (Remember to uninstall any other particleUI mods first! This mod replaces all my other UI mods!) To install this mod by itself: Just put the file named particleUI_DreamEmerald_v1.ztd into your "dlupdate" folder. If you wish to use Jay's Hacks: Just put the file named particleUI_DreamEmerald_x1.ztd into the same folder. If you are using Jay's Developer Menu Hack (developerMenuHack.ztd) or Jay's Developer Map Editor (developerMapEditorHack.ztd) then you should put particleUI_DreamEmerald_v1.ztd and particleUI_DreamEmerald_x1.ztd in the SAME FOLDER as Jay's Hacks, or you might have issues with those mods not displaying properly, or my mods not displaying properly. In most cases, that folder will still be "dlupdate", but it is possible that you have installed those files into a folder called "hacks" because that is how Jay has told people to install them. Included in this .zip archive is a ZTD file that contains the Cattails by Vondell @ Zoo Tek Phoenix. This ZTD file contains information for two complimentary versions of the Cattails. Habitat Cattails are habitat foliage and will count toward an animal's exhibit suitability rating, Decorative Cattails will not. Some user-created animals will "like" the Decorative version too, but it will not count toward the exhibit suitability rating, so it can be freely placed in those exhibits. Door Collection by Truly_Happy This is a collection of 9 configured door sets. Each door set contains a family bathroom, gift shop and restaurant. Enjoy! Note: These doors were designed to be placed either flush against a wall or against a building that is set back a ways. Since placement can be tricky, all buildings are moveable. For the family bathroom, you will not see the "hand" that tells you it can be moved. However, if you double-click on it, it can indeed be moved.
