The "anchoring " point for the roof tiles is in the center, 1 tile in size, and roofs are the equivalent of 6 fence heights. The offset views is an optical illusion caused by the anchoring point being in the wrong place. So from one side it looks correct but from the other, not so much. Try using a piece of ice path to mark the spot before placement. That way you can easily see the single placement pixel.
