Somewhere on Zoochat I read about possibly the best exhibit for orangutans - a series of interconnected indoor/outdoor exhibits more focused on height than area, where animals can escape each other if they don´t want company. I really cannot remember in which zoo it is. Here is my take on this type of exhibit in ZT:

orang.jpg.6dc51ddc5f44a610e53f397adeb16d28.jpg

Series of 6 inteconnected islands for a pair of orangutans and a small family of Muller´s gibbons.

Detail of left part of the exhibit.

I was quite surprised that animals use all islands (some more, some less), and that the orangutans don´t use shelters.

Auckland Zoo has an above ground ropeway where they can go all over the zoo.

Video to watch. Scroll down this area and look for The Science of Animal Care - The High Canopy

That looks great. I cannot find the exhibit I had in mind while making orangutan islands, but I found something that looks even more similar to it - Apenhaul Zoo orangutan exhibit, with 5 interconnected islands:

Another compatibility test I did for Collared Peccary & White Nosed Coati altogether with my Resplendent Quetzal & Sarahuato using both in-game items & my foliage as well... It looks like an actual vegetation mess but worked pretty good!

Here's my exhibit for the Mbu Pufferfish! These guys like a LOT of rocks and I really do mean a lot, so I had to deal with them being angry until I fulfilled that, but they're very well-behaved otherwise!

Using these:

It's not a terrain modification. They are available at rocks menu and don't change suitability rating... Quite lovely ♡

how did you do the tunnel?
