  1. Although it's been years since I really built anything figured today was as good a day as any to start building agin. This is just an opening distance shot of what I have done so far using the Zoo Community Valentines Map I made many years ago.

  2. I started working on a park, made to host animals in need. The centre is located in the middle of the forest. The park focusses on Eurasian forest animals, in order to let them rest in their usual habitat. Here are some pictures of the start: this is an overview of two exhibits. Above you can see the skunk enclosure. Down you will find the racoons. next to the racoons there are some wolverine's. Thats it for now!

  3. I'm a fan of Wisco's suitability guide...used this a LOT when I was wanting to map out zoos before I started building them (yay graph paper!) and I still use it every once in a while! http://users.skynet.be/wisco/index2_zootycoon.html http://users.skynet.be/wisco/zoo_animal_center.html

  5. More wavy fences! Red deer make great neighbours for the Roe deer. The park slowly gets filled up.

  8. I am currently making a forest themed zoo and it is so much fun. I though that sharing this way of making a forest exhibit seemed good to do. First start with making the terrain. Like that you keep track of the size: The grey floor is 3x6 tiles and that will become the animal shelter. Then raise that grey floor 4 tiles up: Make a staircase: Put the fence for the animals: Then use the invisible fence for the line against the shelter: Make the grey shelter grassy again and add vondell's grass: Then place the animal shelter entrance: Go wild with trees, plants and stones: And at last: think about your guests! A beautiful forest exhibit ready for the first guests! Here you can follow the progress of my forest park:

  9. Very happy with this overview! In the high left corner you can see the entrance ticket building. The enclosure behind that building is home to four Marco Polo sheep. The minitrain takes you through the small mammal part, home to racoons, skunk, wolverines and since today two coati's! I am planning on having more deer and sheep/goat species such as ibex, chamois, bighorn, red deer etc.
