  1. New parks are comming! This time, resuming the campaign, we were on the Aquatic Show Park scenario. The frustration came in first place because the shows are my weak point about zoos. Although, this scenario is quite hard due the initial cash resources. But, after some time, it's finally here! Empty Aquatic Show Park from the Aquatic Show Park campaign: User-made only restricted: Animals, paths, decorative fences & scenery. In-game stuff allowed: Exhibit fences, buildings, foliage, rocks & staff. Objectives: 1. Show income: $500 from orca, dolphin, otter & sea lion. 2. Diversity: 6 different species. 3. Suitability: 85 for 6 aquatic exhibits. 4. Animal happiness: at least 85. 5. Guest happiness: at least 85. Default buildings: None. Default scenery: Stick pole observation areas (6), lamps (4), large benches (4), wishing fountains (2), treasure chest (1), zoo map (1) & duck pond (1). In-game animals required: Orca, bottlenose dolphin, southern sea otter & californian sea lion. Main view of the park: In order to keep the guest happiness the highest possible, I built the first exhibits the closest to the zoo entrance, so I gotta modify a bit the default plaza. Also, the cheaper exhibits were the hybrid ones. The first placed were the Southern Sea Otter & Californian Sea Lion! Customers from the park enjoy their shows! As long as these first pals were performing, with their income I built the non-performing exhibits! Also, after shows, it's always matter dealing with hungry and thirsty guests. So, the central path has two restaurants & the two non-performing exhibits needed in order to achieve eventually the diverity objective! This time, the chosen ones were Khaydar's Leopard Seal and Hawkkeye's King Penguin! Hail to the king, baby! When the resources were enough, I built the tanks for the main show stars! Don't be jealous, otters & lions, but the show numbers of Orca & Bottlenose Dolphins were always my favs! They remind me of an old show I attended years ago at Faunia in Madrid! These are the park stars! The show tank are mixed like orca/lion and dolphin/otter in a minimizing space and costs matter. You may guess that the initial idea went lost because I started this park before my last project and finished building after all the time I spend with that one. Anyways, I like the final result, and the atlantian extras bring a real sea-ish castle aura! Hope you like it 😽😽 Until next empty zoo!

  2. When I was a kid, elephants were my fav animal... My dad says that it was because of the Tarzan Movie, which came out when I was about 4yo. So, my mom who, besides being a gorgeous woman, is a biologist, she had an ilustrated encyclopaedia. I remember that huge book and spending the whole afternoon when I came back from school looking at their pictures! Between its pages, I found a depiction of the proboscideans evolutionary tree... If elephants were my favorite animals, when I first saw Gomphotherium or Deinotherium, my childish mind blew up! When I started building the MegaTusk Plaza from the Thawed Out Park, I found several names that unlocked soooo many memories from those years! The six proboscideans I found and chose for the MegaTusk Plaza were: - In representation of the Palaeoloxodon genus, Khaydar's Sicilian Dwarf Elephant, made with BlueFang's graphic model. - Khaydar's Moeritherium, made with ZT Thailand's model. - Hendrix's American Mastodon, made with the ZT2 graphics. - BlueFang's Woolly Mammoth, modified with VNDragon's combined realism hack. - Khaydar's Stegodon, made with Bill's model. - Deinotherium made completely by Khaydar! I started the design and building of the MegaTusk Plaza in an early stage of gameplay, because I knew it would demand so much space. Actually, the first idea was that the three bulky gates were the entraces for the road of the proboscideans, but at the end I figured out how to save space for it, making the third one the entrance for the cats area. I may guess that, at least Stegodon, Mastodon & Dwarf Elephant have base data of the original Mammoth file, because they behave almost the same. You can't notice on the screenshots, but their exhibits were built and re-built several times! The gameplay extended more than initially tought because of that. A little loss of attention and their exhibits got overcrowded or too dirty and they started smashig everything! It was a real challenge having them fully confortable as I built the other zoo areas, but hey! That's no complain! If dealing with actual elephants is a whole headache for the zoos nowadays, I can just imagine hoy tough would it be if they might actually have extinct proboscideans! That makes the experience quite realistic! This is the last post I make about Thawed Out Park. I don't know if you'd like for me to upload it, so you may take a look at it on your own eyes... But i find it quite hard, most because of the whole sea of UCIs it has. I'm now working on the next projects. Unfortunately, or fortunately, IDK, I got sick since last friday. This is the 4th time I have a round with covid... I already won against it three times. A fourth one is just for keeping the custom! 😹😹 I'm apart from work at least during this week. A good thing has to come up from these cloggy-nose days, so I'm taking advantage making new stuff! Have a nice day! Until next empty zoo!
