I'm hoping that I'm posting this in the right spot, if I'm not, please forgive me, but I was just working on a new zoo and I had an idea that was so funny to me that I woke my dogs up because I was laughing so hard and loud. We have not seen any new cat toys. Hear me out. I realize that this may seem like a domesticated cat fetish, but cardboard boxes. If you look on the Internet or even YouTube and type in 'cats in boxes', you're going to find that not only do our little purring, furry overlords enjoy a good box, but so do the big cats. I've seen a lot of pictures with leopards and jaguars just sitting in a box (if it fits, I sits!). I've seen a couple lions and tigers love them, too. I realize that the amount of work to get each cat to actually sit in a box if it's in their exhibit would be enormous, that's not what I'm suggesting. A simple object that you can place in their exhibit that looks like a cardboard box that they can walk in and out of. Eventually, one of them would decide to 'sit' in the box based on placement of the box, I think would be absolutely hysterical to see. Or maybe create the box as a shelter? The other idea that I had was balls of yarn. Again, I know the work to get the cat to actually play with it would be hard to do for all cats, but just a simple object that can sit in the exhibit to represent the yarn. Both the box and the yarn could maybe boost happiness and health, too, or would that be cat programming? Anyway, that's my idea. I couldn't get that image out of my head and I felt that we have so many talented designers on here that someone might want to pick this one up and work on it.1 point

Sorry again if I've kind of been MIA - this migraine disorder and my arthritis will sometime team up against me and I'm stuck just barely making it through half a day. Ashea - you are so right about the guests, I don't know how many hours I've sat and picked up guests to plop them somewhere they need to be, only to watch them walk right past it. Drives me bonkers when they do that, lol. Okay, so the zoo is done. I changed up a couple of tanks to add the underwater tunnel (I accidentally spelled underwear...stupid post migraine brain fog, LOL) and that helped my zoo. Right now, guest population is 985, I did have 1,005 and got the Gold Plague and Zoo of the Year awards. Guest happiness hovers between 88%-90%. Animal happiness is at 97% with, I think, 180 animals. I did sell off some before I came on because some of the exhibits were too crowded, so that number isn't accurate. Zoo rating is 95%. Does anyone else have problems with guests being stuck in one spot for a while? I noticed some of mine started doing that, so I had to pick them up and move them over a couple spots to get them moving again. Some of them had been there for so long that I swear they were dead. Still more than willing to post my zoo file so everyone can walk around and play, where would I post it?1 point

Hey everyone! Sorry if I've been elusive the last few days. First off, Fern, thank you for the idea of learning to combine my files, I ended up using Jay's instructions and had to tweak them a little since I'm on Windows 11, but I spent the better part of two days going through my folder and my downloads. I was at 227 files in my dlupdate, I'm now down to about 40 and have a ton more files to combine eventually. It was such a relief to see that number drop as I worked and my game and probably my computer is breathing some relief! And then after that, I spent the rest of Saturday, all of Sunday and much of today recovering from a sneak attack migraine. It was mostly my fault that it happened, I kept forgetting to switch my glasses out in between working on my files and crocheting that my eyes and brain just said 'okay, enough of this'. Luckily, no trip to the emergency room for rescue meds, but it did knock the wind out of my sails for a little bit. Okay, enough of that, onto my zoo. Latest pics are below. Some of these were taken before I added animals and opened the zoo, but more pics will come later. Currently, there's 57 exhibits and that's the final tally, I've done run out of room. I'm in October, Year 12, Zoo rating at 93%, animal happiness at 95%. Guest population is right around 680, guest happiness is at 87%. I've actually only had the zoo open for two years in-game, there's been a steady increase in guests in the last ten months or so - entrance fee is $15.00 for adults, $7.50 for kids. No Dinos this time, one dolphin show (show fee is $3.00). I just put the last animal in, (my Pandas) as I was signing on in here, there's still some more decorating to do. Right now, 5 of the 7 bridges are in, just have to find the right spots for the other two. Also have 101 Staff, 48 Zoo Keepers, 13 Marine Specialists, 20 Maintenance and 20 Tour Guides. I'll be hiring more maintenance and guides later this evening and then I'll schedule where they're supposed to go and do.1 point
