  1. Yes, my new computer contains the new two terabyte hard drive with Windows 11 on it, and my old hard drive from my old computer with Windows 10 on it. I needed a new computer because World of Warcraft out grew my old computer, but Windows 11 sucks rocks and wont install any of my older games, including Zoo Tycoon. So I sent the new computer and the old computer back to the computer guy and asked him to install my old hard drive in the new computer so I could switch back and forth between the two of them. So now it starts up on the old Windows 10 hard drive, because I do all that stuff in the morning, then when Im ready to play WoW, I restart the computer, the prompt comes up, and I switch to the new Windows 11 hard drive. And I absolutely hate Windows 11, the next time I have to get a new computer, Im going back to Macintosh.

  2. These are going to be the last pics for a bit because sadly, I think I broke my zoo. I was in the process of checking on exhibits, buying and selling animals so I could round out the zoo before I posted it here and my game crashed suddenly. When I got back on the game, suddenly I could move around in it, but I had to have the game on pause to do it, if I unpaused it, the game would crash again. I found a massive pile-up of guests near my Trinil Tigers, so I started to weed them out the best that I could and closed the exhibit from onlookers so my tigers would settle down (they were upset), but it's gotten to the point that I can't even get to the pause button in time before the game crashes again. I was able to get another zoo started, but it's also crashed on me a few times, so I'm slowly removing new files to see if there's something my game just doesn't like. If I can get back on this zoo eventually, I'll post the file, I've just got to do some sleuthing to find out what's going on. Pictures were taken without foliage on, I was going to post with foliage as well before the zoo crashed.

  3. Rise, thread! Getting myself back in gear with a little project - I wanted to try a koi pond related build with Hawkkeye's koi, and I decided I would try to replicate, or at least take inspiration from, this style of modernist, blocky, terraced pond garden: Something I've never tried in ZT before. I knew I it would be multi-leveled with multiple surface materials, with lots of flat surfaces and lots of the ZA invisible glass tank wall. I knew I wanted to try something unique with the shape and layout of the ponds ... and I knew I wanted to keep the "gardening" very minimalistic, mostly grasses, hedges and water plants. Here's what I wound up with ... "diorama" style. (Click to explore in full resolution.) Question: how many tanks do you suppose there are in total? :) I also really like how it looked "bare" in this WIP stage ... I might actually prefer it that way, but you know ... at that point it's not really much of a zoo build, is it? Did I achieve my goal of replicating that modernist garden pond look? Yes, I think so! Could it be done even better? Yes, I think so ...
