  1. I have uploaded my findings so far into Google Documents, so anyone interested can take a look: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1w2NlAkmT3iTLBfcJNMU0a3j5YoQWIHc7MArm4_xrI3I/edit?usp=sharing Hope it’s useful to Jay or anyone else interested in the format. I hope to have some time to do a little bit more investigation, especially with regards to show tanks (the presence of which currently means it’s much harder to manipulate a .zoo file for me).

  2. Yeah this will be the eventual goal of the API. I've had a bit of trouble finding the event listeners but now that we have mappings for a lot of these classes, it's possible that this functionality exists in the ZTMessageQueue. Because I started with the budget stuff, I've been focused a lot on ZTGameMgr lately. I'll be providing an update on this soon. Honestly I think with what I've found so far it might be possible to create our own 'pseudo' listeners. Something like: if (NumGuests == 500 && NumTiredGuests < 50) { ZooBudget += 5000; } Can technically be done right now.

  3. Interesting, would it be possible to combine those functions to get different results in mods? Something I wanted to make is custom endangered animals that give rewards when you breed them. This would require an event "breed", something to check for it, and activate that money donation message like when you breed pandas. As well as adding money to budget.

  4. I wouldn't be too worried about RAM these days, if you're using a modern machine. More about the format of the .zoo files, and technical limitations (tiny or small integers). But your document contains lot of info on this. Nice summary!

  5. I thought that too, but I think spots are too big for a West African (or Kordofan). And light individuals are known from other subspecies too. Space between spots in West African giraffes is white, while ZT giraffe have some colour inbetween spots as well. I also thought it was Angolan or South African, these two subspecies have large spots and can also get quite pale. Thanks all for you opinions! About giraffe generally, I settled (for now...) that ingame giraffe is a Nubian one - it´s type subspecies, have large spots, can be pale (especially females), and space between spots isn´t white. This means that in the new ungulates pack (the biggest of them all) will be 5 new giraffes. Today´s release, ceratopsids (+one ornithopod as a bonus): Animals: From left to right: Kosmoceratops (grey), Regaliceratops (red), Parksosaurus (small ornithopod), Nasutoceratops (brown), Diabloceratops (black), Pachyrhinosaurus (white) So the only large ceratopsid missing from ZT2 mods is Coahuilaceratops, because I couldn´t figure out any compatibility for it. Compatibility: Kosmoceratops, Diabloceratops Regaliceratops - ingame Styracosaurus, Hendrix´s Pachycephalosaurus Parksosaurus - Borsato´s Torosaurus Nasutoceratops - ingame Lambeosaurus, Borsato´s Parasaurolophus, my Pentaceratops and Panoplosaurus On my google drive, in folder packs, you can now find file named hwdinosaurdigscretaceous.rar, inside which you can find .ztd with all my Cretaceous dinosaurs combined. Enjoy! EDIT: I can´t log into my google account, so nothing has been uploaded on my google drive yet. According to internet I am gonna wait for 7 days before logging into it again... *** files removed 2023.07.06

  6. Hi! Here are a couple of ways you can take screenshots: Safari Mode: Either click the little camera on the bottom left corner of the screen or click the 'C' button on your keyboard: You'll be taken to Safari Mode where you get to play as a guest taking pictures at ground level. If you want something with a little more control and an overhead view, the next method might be better. Print Screen: Windows 10 or below If you're on Windows 10 or below, you can click on the PrtSc button on your keyboard. You'll see it in that small group of buttons to the right of your Delete key. When you have a screen you'd like to save, click on PrtSc once. Notice that nothing will happen until you minimize the game and open an image editor like Paint, which should come installed on any version of Windows. Once you have Paint open (or any other image editor), hit CTRL + V on your keyboard to paste the screenshot into the editor. You can crop it however you like from here and save it to your drive. You'll want to do this as you go because every time you hit PrtSc you override the previous screenshot you have saved on your clipboard, so you'll want to save them as soon as you take them so you don't forget and lose what you've screencapped. Windows 11 If you're on Windows 11, it's a lot easier. Inside of the game, click on PrtSc on your keyboard and you can click and drag however you want your screenshot to come out. No need to go into an image editor--a popup will show on the bottom right of your screen. Click on it when it comes up and it will ask you where you want your screenshot saved. I handwaved a few things but I hope it makes sense. Lmk if you have any questions :)
