  1. Can't say I've had the chance to cross it off my bucket list yet but I will this weekend. 😄 I know that they are in different pieces like Legomen but I can't see that alone being a problem if they're rendered with those respective pieces as well. That said I see what you mean--there's more to it than I know. Maybe some day someone will crack the guest mysteries and they shall be heralded as, well, person who cracked the guest mysteries. ;)

  2. Alright I tested it out with all mods removed but that didn't seem to be the problem because the "silence" persists in my zoos. Really weird. EDIT: Eh... even weirder, I have somehow just fixed it I guess. I literally just removed the "sounds.ztd" file from the main directory and replaced it with a "fresh" version copied directly from the main directory on the CD. Now the sounds start to play after a few seconds. Both files are identical in size, but somehow the "old" file doesn't work (tested it again by switching them out). I'm so glad I decided to switch interests and didn't become a software developer, weird problems in programs with unusual fixes like that are just absolutely confusing haha.

  3. You know with a little tweaking you could give it an Egyptian feel and have it selling Mummy Dogs

  4. Hello, I recently installed Zoo Tycoon (Complete Collection) after many years of not playing and started to go through the scenarios. From the beginning I noticed that something felt "off" in my zoos but I couldn't really point my finger at it. When I was watching videos of playthroughs on YouTube I started to realize what felt so wierd in my game: the "crowd" sound-effect that plays when you have many guests is completely missing. Normally you hear lots of people talking, kids screaming and so on but that sound effect is completely absent in my game apparently. All I hear is the standard map ambient background sounds (cars honking on city maps, seagulls and waves on marine maps or the occasional wind howling on desert maps) and the sounds of stands / restaurants etc, animals or workers doing their thing - but the guests are silent. Now that I realized what is missing it really stands out and annoys me because it's killing the mood when building a large and packed zoo when all you hear is the occasional lonely wind howling sound effect. I'm not sure what to do in order to fix it, I installed the game from my old CD that I bought in 2005 or so and it has worked normally without any errors. Could this somehow be related to the fact that I am playing the game on a modern system? I already played around with the settings but nothing has fixed it so far.

  5. You said you feel it doesn't fit in and I be honest to say if I would use the ingame stands I will propably take the hotdog stand from the ingame as well, but do take in mind I do not always play with them and there are many user made stands where I would happil;y place this stand next to it

  6. Oh NOW I get to this page... ;D It actually looks quite good. I think it just needs a tad darker color on the bun and some condiments to give it more color and shapes. Is the dark square under it a part of the building itself?

  7. Actually I thought the original one was too light, this one looks spot on, the color of the hot dog is very close, the color of the bun could be a bit more brown I think. If its the shading youre asking about, it looks good as far as the vertical goes, but ZT has the light source coming from the right no matter which way the map is rotated, so you may want to lighten the right side of all four rotation images a bit. You were asking if it looked too plain, and it does a little, perhaps add a squiggly line of mustard down the hot dog, maybe a little relish and a couple chunks of diced onion here and there?

  8. The coloring to me seems fine. Maybe a bit of outlining around the different colors, just several shades darker. It could need a little more shading here and there, as you say, to give texture.

  9. I think I improved the lighting, but now there's this uncanny look to that doesn't quite fit in. I can't be sure if I should blame it on the lighting or the colors I chose. I think it's also the lack of detail on the texture.: (this isn't actually in-game)

  10. Such a tasty weiner 🌭🌭 Is it configured to be shadeless? The bottom of the graphics looks pretty dark. Not bad at all, but NE & NW at first glance made me think on a candle instead 🕯🕯

  11. 😂😂😂 If anyone ever asks you to sum up the entire history of Zoo Tycoon modding with one mod, I need you to point to this; a pantheon of art in its own right. (I think it came out a bit dark but I want to see how it looks ingame)

  12. Texturing done and I added a window frame. I'm trying my best to keep to the general art direction of the game, but not too sure if I nailed it. Is it too plain? Next I need to figure out how to get the views/game-accurate lighting I need from Blender. I still have notes @Vondell shared with me a few months ago so I'll see what I can figure out :P
