  1. Cheers all and hope you like playing with them! They can take a bit of practice to get used to building with. Feel free to comment or message me with any questions you may have about using them! Edit: Just a heads up, if anyone downloaded the file before this afternoon (v1.0), there is an update to the file (v1.1) that adds a piece that was missing in the first release, the decorative Support Post Wall. So if you have the first version of the file, you are missing a piece! Apologies for this and thanks to red-lioness007 for noticing and letting me know.

A 14-piece building set that allows for the building of greenhouse structures, including both decorative and exhibit wall fences, a variety of 1x1 and 3x3 roof tiles, and an additional fence piece intended to look like support posts. The 3x3 roofs work similar to those in Catfish's Aviary Set. Though they appear to take up 9 game tiles, they really only occupy their central tile, allowing objects to be placed freely "under" the surrounding 8 tiles. Building with these roofs can take some getting used to initially. This approach creates some graphical quirks that are unavoidable, such as tall objects appearing to clip through the roofs, or corners of the roofs appearing "behind" certain objects -- this is a tradeoff for all roofs that use this method of placement. Only fences and paths can be placed under the 1x1 roofs, as they occupy their full footprint. Still, they can be used in many different ways. Note that although the support post wall appears to have empty space between the poles, as a decorative fence, guests will not be able to walk directly through them. The roofs are configured to be able to be placed over tank water, allowing for fully "enclosed" land and tank exhibits. The roofs use the surface of the water as their "ground" when placed over tanks. This can be a little tricky to work with at first. This set can be used in conjunction with the Modern Wooden Fences set to create even more kinds of structures. This set requires the LANG--ZTCDD.dll to be placed inside the main Zoo Tycoon directory in order to properly display the custom menu information for the fences. This file is available from Zoo Tycoon Designer's Guild. The menu information may appear blank or incorrect without this file. *NOTE: The roof pieces will not work on hills.

  3. I've gotten back into Zoo Tycoon 1 after 15 years and have discovered the wonderful modding community. I love modding out my zoos, but it gets tedious having to scroll to find a certain building or scenery piece. In order to make building my zoos easier and faster, is there a mod out there that adds a search bar in the Construction, Adopt Animals, Structures, and/or Staff tabs? Or just a search bar in general?

  4. A little side project here, after I read some papers on lion haplogroups. And Gambian mongoose as a bonus. Animals: West African Lion, Ethiopian Lion, Katanga Lion Gambian Mongoose Compatibility: Gambian mongoose, West African lion. Yep. That can (rarely) work. https://www.facebook.com/zoochleby/videos/1145870766427364/ Would you be interested in me making a mongooses (probably slender mongooses) to be compatible with other lion subspecies? Enjoy! *** files removed 2025.12.25 screenshot of files removed:
