Version 1.22
647 downloads
Description: Many Dinosaur Digs hacks in the past modify the same ".ai" files of the animals/items, making these hacks incompatible to one another. This hack aims to unify and update the features found in those hacks to offer you the ultimate package that improves your overall Dinosaur Digs experience while getting as close as possible to the scientific rigor of 2020 palaeontology. List of older hacks incorporated in this package: - No Grass, Please! by P.Rex and Vondell. - Larger Triceratops by P.Rex. - Reality Hack by Wolv12 (Some elements, not the entire hack, were incorporated to complement "No Grass, Please!"). - DDvarPatch by Borsato. - No Egg Hack + Attractiveness Boost Hack by Penguino. New features include (but are not limited to) a new diet for Caudipteryx, new purchase icons to match the animals' new terrain preferences, and having more dinosaurs capable of eating guests! For a full list of features along with a detailed installation guide, please check the text files inside the zip. For extra screenshots, details, and any feedbacks/bug reports, please notify me through this topic: https://zootekphoenix.com/forums/topic/17562-dinosaur-digs-realism-a-successor-of-multiple-previous-hacks/1 point -

In my main projects thread, I wrote earlier that I'd craft my plaques for Shark Pack using AI... Welp, I tried and it turned out to be an actual epic fail 😹😹 But later, I got a better idea... Instead of generate the whole image, I might just only design a prompt for the background over which I may just stick the model of the animal! So, using Stable Diffusion algorithm, I achieved neat results... I disagree with the term that stands that the "artist" gets the whole property of the picture generated by its prompt, so you may feel free to use these for your own projects if you want... These are poor quality re uploads. However, you can always download the originals on better resolution at my NightCafe profile: https://creator.nightcafe.studio/u/Zarawatto I'm just posting the Shark Pack plaques now, but I'll design new ones for the upcomming projects and post them into this thread as well... I found another time-capsule circa 2001 that is still up and is so fascinating to go through. I wish I could share it but some of the websites it links to are now parked at less-than-friendly URLs. Maybe I'll take screenshots later.1 point

I don't think the polycount matters too much to get a ZT1 style. You'll notice that their models in pre-rendered images tend to have a lot of smoothing to give them a sort of playdough look to them with the stretchy limbs and stylized faces. In a Blender context you'd get a similar effect by creating a super low poly model, give it a couple subdivisions with the modifier, and polish it up with some light sculpting. The elephant is the best example: On Blender you can texture paint with simple colors and shapes without needing to get too crazy. You'll notice that the final render blends your colors together anyway since the resolution is so small. Since we're so zoomed out, you can also get away with giving the animals dots for eyes unless you want the plaque to look high res. The hotdog and fennec fox models I made used a 240x240 dimension for the texture. Those are my observations as a beginner anyway, so not sure my tips carry much weight with my two models so far :P1 point

Good grief I had no idea that Pixigger's site was still around. I'll see what I can find out.1 point

33 additional mods have been added to ZooBerry, including a few from ZooMania that I don't believe we've ever released before (unless the authors released elsewhere since then :P). An itemized list can be found here: https://forums.zooberry.org/t/33-files-added-to-the-zooberry-database/621 point

Is there any guides to the DD Combined Realism Hack that indicates how to make the best exhibits for the altered animals and additions, almost akin to how this website does so for the base animals? https://rc-anodizing.tripod.com/PEZT/1 point

It is only the "core"... Now I'm adding the "cortex" in order to make it more round or kinda spherical1 point

Honestly, original ZT2 beaver shelter is not that good to my taste... Instead (and to make it more original) my proposal is this: I got Cat & Juicy logs & branches (I used some of these for my cats scenery items) and I'm thinking like a beaver: I'm throwing branches into Blender until my instinct is satisfied 😹😹 This is what I got after some minutes importing, rotating and resizing items... How is it going? This is meant to be a lodge... There will be also a dam1 point

It should not be a toy. I would configure it for water or land. There are other animals that would use a stick shelter like that. Plus some dams are part on water and part on land, so if configured only for water you would not be able to have it even partly on land. There is actually a scenery version around somewhere.1 point

Actually, I wanted to ask you for some time to make it (I don´t know how to make an items for ZT), I just couldn´t decide whether dam should be shelter, toy, or a scenery item. So, I´d be glad if you make it. This pack has been sitting on my google drive for some time, complete except the dam.1 point

This is one of those insomnia nights for me... I just read this topic from the beginning again and I noticed several downloads that I missed or that I thought I got but just forgot because I didn't back in the day, like Megalania, Jp Aquarium or beaked whales, but I noticed something... I made a working shelter for my cats, so I might try to craft a dam shelter if you are still interested on this 🦫🦫 What do you think?1 point
