It is finally here! I'm sorry for the delay, but this was an actual "try, fail & re-do" project where I've learnt several things... Further works will be easier for me! Anyways, we're here for this: Let me introduce you to:

But first! Let me explain a couple of things:

When I build my regional themed zoos, I always avoid national symbols like flags or catchy buildings... But this time I made a tiny exception:

Do you know about the nahuatl word "tzompantli"?

Tzompantli is a word used for a rack made by human skulls built by aztecs. Some of them were made by actual bones, but there were others just made by skulls carved on stone, like this one found at Templo Mayor ruins in Mexico City:

When I saw this, I first tought about a decorative fence, but then I had a better idea!

You'll see, when I made the first animal list, you sure remember I didn't chose yet a definitive fifth one before picking Sarahuato. I had several animal ideas, but models were too little for me in order to make fully working new animals. So, I resized them, but now they were looking pretty unnatural. I left the idea aside after gathering several scrapped graphics in a folder, when tzompantli came back to my mind. At last, I merged both and made:

Templo Mayor Tzompantli Terrariums

Bonus! 5 new animated scenery items, made with my scrapped graphics:

IconSE.png.660d63f088eb47e6abc87a50aff775fd.png Atlantic Horseshoe (Limulus polyphemusSandy Beach.

IconSE.png.fb16b670ccd929844044dc7fcb8dc44d.png Axolotl (Ambystoma mexicanum) Rocky Pond.

IconSE.png.0100a5d6f114e24c01942e59f16d457d.png Vampire Bat (Desmodus rotundus) Dusky Tree.

IconSE.png.b15c4aa0612196bd6ad103f30c5390f3.png Crested Lizard (Basiliscus plumifrons) Cloudy Garden.

IconSE.png.163ba9c277a7d232fd54bd5cd00eb9eb.png Crested Coquette (Lophornis brachylophus) Shiny Shrine.

Within the file itself, you may find a .txt with, alongside other info, the next:

 ~ Compatibility Guide ~

-> This pack works better with ZTCC as it uses some Bonus Animals sounds, but should run with all versions.

-> Xoloitzcuintle is compatible with Hawkkeye's Good Boys, which includes the following dog breeds:
Border Collie, Dalmatian, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Rough Collie & Siberian Husky.
--> In addition to Good Boys preferences, and in order to match mexican theme, Xoloitzcuintle also likes desertic foliage and rocks as well.
For a solo-xolo exhibit, it's not a problem at all. However, in a multiple dogs exhibit, Good Boys will naturally dislike desertic items, so you shouldn't use them in that case.

-> Cacomistle is fully compatible with Hawkkeye's Virginia Opossum.
-> Western Diamondback Rattlesnake is fully compatible with Hawkkeye's Desert Pack, which includes the following animals:
Black Tailed Jackrabbit, Desert Tortoise & Greater Roadrunner.

-> Sarahuato & Resplendent Quetzal are both compatible with each other & with Hawkkeye's Collared Peccary & White Nosed Coati.

-> Cacomistle is configured to like Corn Smut Maize as much as its prefered in-game tree (Thornless Mesquite).
-> Sarahuato is configured to like Cocoa Tree as much as its prefered in-game tree (Ulmo).
-> Resplendent Quetzal is configured to like Vanilla Orchid Tree as much as its prefered in-game tree (Kapok).

Please report any bug if you find and I'll fix it as soon as possible, then I'll post any update here!

Now that I know how tools work, my ideas for next projects are:

-> Helicoprion & other weird sharks from ancient seas 🦈🦈

-> Quetzalcoatlus & other pterosaurs reskinned with modern birb patterns 🪶🪶

-> A cat breed pack, including animated scenery for a whole feline playhouse 🐈🐈

But first, I'll test my own stuff and I'll build my mexican themed zoo! Meet you at my Screenshots thread! That's it by now.

Have a nice weekend! 😸😸

So far so great!

The little gardens and animal displays are really worth close up viewing.  The Cacomistle appears to be a charming and unfussy animal.

:great1:

Thanks so much for these!

Looks absolutely great!

I wanted quetzal in my zoo for a long time.

If you want to change quetzal to be monogamous, as they seem to be, just change cMatingType = 0 to cMatingType = 1

These are Amazing! How did you make the graphics? Blender edits to existing animals with new textures or custom sprites? Just curious

Base model is Tamara Henson's Siamese Cat. You may find it here:

https://zt2downloadlibrary.fandom.com/wiki/Siamese_Cat_(Tamara_Henson)

All other breeds are reskins made by myself. Also, for the long haired ones, I used both edit & sculpt modes on Blender in order to make them look fluffy ♡♡

I'm sharping last details before start working on scenery... Here is my suitability exhibit test:

Spoiler

Zoo099.jpg.2b0cf670d47c2d83b63cd4c26e3c6377.jpg

All of them are compatible together, with the same preferences, except for a detail: Each one of them got different prefered foliage as a resource for variability in mixed cat exhibits. The only foliage they dislike is savannah & rainforest.

They will be compatible with all versions. I used in game sounds... And now that I mention it... Oh gosh! If my sarahuato and quetzal are noisy, with these fellows you'll have a whole orchestra! 😹😹 Maine Coon is the chonky boi at top right... It's slightly bigger than the rest of cats, even other long haired ones

Any suggestions?
