My works on lacking stuff...

I don't know why, but I'm having trouble with the scenery items I'm working on... I'm pretty sure that I'm configuring them the same way I did with the mexican terrariums, so I still don't get the reason.

 

However, the animals are already finished. So, until I figure out how to fix them, I'm releasing the first part of the cat breeds pack. Let me introduce you to:

I don't think I'll change cat configuring unless bugs are reported or your suggestions get me. So, once I fix the scenery issues, I'll submit a new version of the file to my drive and here at ZooTek download section. If things work, expect the following:

-> A new working shelter for your cats!

-> I'm a cat lover and I will always be. But this pack, most by its own name, is a recall for all cat owners: We all must be responsible cat lovers! Because of this, remember:
 Neuter and vaccinate your kittens, but most important: Do NOT let them roam outdoors! Cats are an actual threat for ecosystems. This is no unsupported opinion, this is a fact!

Kitties look awesome! Great to see that you are also editing the original models, I am looking forward to your next projects.

 

I noticed that some of the kitties look shiny. I think that is because some of the textures (for example ducks) look quite often very shiny under light in Blender. If you want to counter it, you can get darker texture by switching to shadeless in Material options of the model.

 

Also, if you want kitties to bask in attention of guests, you can change this line in .uca:

 

cCrowd = x

 

instead of x, you can insert any number of guests you want, animal will feel crowded in more than x guests are looking at it.

I also noticed it... It is more evident in Persian. I'm not sure why, but some textures have minor issues I'm still learning how to fix... I. e., some of the frames generate random colors when I change them to indexed. I found this in Angora and Female Wegie, but most in Egyptian Mau. The tumbnail from Mau's icon has several purplish colors generated by the palette, but the original model has not those colors...

I reworked Mau... Latest version (the one I uploaded) still has some of them, but actual animal in game looks more gray than pink... I'm not sure if these issues are worth fixing, but I'll try to avoid them in my next works...

That depends on if you think it is worth reworking - I think they look pretty neat now.

Sometimes I give you advice, because I would have wanted such advice when I was beginning making animals, but the decision is always yours - you can see in Khaydar´s and Borsato´s topics that I can be pretty nitpicking.  Or sometimes I can advice you something that you´ve already known - you seem to be much more versed in graphics that I had been when I started.

Only sort of back. I can do some things on my mothers computer and have a passport drive with me so I can move things back to my computer. I reckon it will be another month before I am able to leave here. Sorting an entire house is slow work.

Send me the renders and I will see if I can do anything with them. That will depend on the format they are in.
